The things you miss now you are an adult

Pat Hasler:
I miss my Mum, I was a spoiled kid but we were far from well off. We lived in a small Northamptonshire village. We would kick a football for miles without handling it, we’d build camps in hedgerows, we’d play cowboys and indians with real loaded .22 air guns, I would go home with a pellet stuck in my hand and Mum would pull it out, clean it and tell me to keep behind something next tim … LOL

remember me not to send my kids round your house

Breastfeeding :astonished:    :open_mouth: .

And what a size they were as well. :open_mouth:

Did any of you ever sneak into the local breakers yard and steal car badges?? I remember a friend telling me he could get a bigger Ford sign than mine but id to help him over a fence. I didnt believe him and went on the so called mission and there she was, a very old Transconti!! She had obviously been rolled but the sign was still there! I also remember hanging car wheel trims on my wall, the ones I used to find on the side of the road and took home for a soak in the bath!! (Mother did not like me doing this) I also used to but a lucazade bottle between the cushoins on the sofa and pretend it was a gearstick to either a truck or a bus!!

Sad I know but given the chance id go back anyday!!

I actually set up a nice little business when I was at school…ha ha ha
I used to drill a hole in the wheel trim and put an old clock into it, just the back and the hands… it looked well cool, hangin on your wall…

Well, I though it did…
