Looks a bit big for a Land Cruiser 
The narrowboat is a Sea Otter and they are made of aluminium but even so it must weigh at least four tonnes and probably nearer six.
If it’s a sea otter they weigh about 3-3.5 tonnes due to the aluminium but in all honesty I’m not sure that it is.

Too heavy for over run brakes .
And it’s says 27 ft is 3.4 tonnes. Nevertheless somebodies had a fishtailing trailer and lost it. Bring on the insurance survey.

Might be driver or loading error but you never know what went on before, might have had to swerve to avoid another vehicle, who’s driven off oblivious.
About 3 hours to late.

That’s gotta be over the max permissible tow weight for that car ?
As for how it happened .
Probably to fast and the weight started to push the car causing the trail to wobble then snake , typical caravan accident
That is not a barge.

General advice is the trailer should weigh no more than 85% of the tow vehicle. It is only advice and generally accepted caravan practise. My guess he lost it while braking as the OP stated the tail wagged the dog. M62 eastbound windy hill gets a fair amount of wagged dogs.

85% is the advice given for inexperienced caravanners, and is only advice. The GTW of the towing vehicle is the weight the police are interested in, and that only applies to braked trailers.
If that trailer is unbraked, then the driver is very much in the soapy bubble!!
