What a contradiction. Can’t legally peruse the vehicle in front yet can arrest the car behind? “Maybe” Interfering with office, errr, what■■? Someone holding a high position of power and there’s no “evidence”? Laughable, absolutely laughable. You could bet they’d be all over it if it were a sports car driven by “someone else” or a tipper lorry. They’d find evidence then. Pretty sure they can using time between markers in the video backed up by cctv as “evidence” enough to make an arrest.
Luckily we all know what this translates as and can see through it even if they’re trying to smoke screen it. It’s a case of covering it up, then spinning it around onto the film maker to threaten him. Old boys network stuff. I thought no one was above the law?
The drivers on here tutting and bit. Ching about it will do what ■■?
Oh yeah squat …
Move on , if you feel that hard done by you’d be penning a letter but as the majority of drivers in this country can’t even agree on one simple thing why bother moaning …
dieseldog999:
them,us and the old boys network…job done, though id like to know how you can interfere with someone driving their car, when your driving your own car 500 yards behind them without them knowing your there?..the lid will be put on it bigtime, and the sanctamonious ■■■■■ is drawing too much wages to resign…
i wonder if she uses the same kind of tax as lady penelope from thunderbirds as when you check her car tax,it shows as no vehicle exists?
just in case anyone missed it,here i am aiding and abbeting the interfering with bev.
YK59 YZW Doesn’t exist on the askmid or mot check web sites either , So is a spoof VRN So ANPR would presumably also fail to ping anything, so free parking for the ■■■■■ too, Though i would imagine any plod doing a PNC on it, Would probably get informed it was on a list of do not stop vehicles so in effect immune from prosecution, she could easily drive whilst over the limit too without the fear of being stopped
robroy:
There should be some kind of petition to get her out of her lucrative job, and/or somebody should make her office aware of the bad feeling on a national driver’s forum.
I reckon her position has been compromised because of this, they are just relying on it being swept under the carpet and forgotten.
“… the bad feeling on a national drivers (no apostrophy ) forum.”
I can smell the fear from here. Her p45 is surely only a formality now.
Beware the power of trucknet.
Sorry bud, but if you’re going to pick me up on my grammar, you should at least try and spell ‘apostrophE’ correctly
Ok, realistically it more than likely will not make a [zb] of difference admittedly, but from little acorns etc etc…
An upper case letter at the end of a word? And I didn’t write apostrophe, I wrote apostrophy.

Is it some kind of award that fence post makers who can’t spell win ?
Beverley Bell is now like the traffic warden we had in Driffield. That woman wouldn’t given any of her friends a parking ticket, everyone knew about it so when she went to write one they’d come out with “If I was your friend you wouldn’t be writing one would you?” In the end she had to quit her job.
I suspect that if enough people found out about Ms.Bell that a similar line being trotted out would eventually make her position untenable too. However I would say though that we do need TCs with real teeth which she has demonstrated more than once so is forcing her out of her job a good thing in the end?
eagerbeaver:
Yes, because she drives like a prick.
But if you drive like a prick, she can take your licence away. We cannot have these kind of people in power.
Those who end up in front of her drive like a prick so they deserve it and the fact she has as well is neither here nor there, it doesn’t alter the fact that her judgement, like the judge who would be ruling over her if she got caught, is made on the facts presented. If we removed everyone from the position they’re in who have made transgressions related to that then it would be a field day for criminals, scammers, etc etc etc.

But surely someone in her position should be seen to set an example, not be proven guilty (as she clearly was, irrespective of the Old Boy’s network’s decision and opinion) of things she is supposed to disaprove of and be seen to deal with in a disciplinary context.
I dont know about the situation in Engerland but in Scotland well intentioned citizens have fallen down the stairs in the police stations.Just saying like.
Trying to the “Devils advocate” :
Facts;
I see a woman walking in a car park, who I only see the back, and cannot positively indentify as Mrs Bell.
Moments? later I see a “59” plate Freelander pulling out the car park, again I cannot indentify If Mrs Bell is the driver.
During the whole video, I don’t have at anytime proof that the person who is driving is Mrs Bell.
Regarding the registration, if somebody change to a “private plate” you cannot find the history on the old number, as the car doesn’t excist anymore.
You can find the information on the new registration.
If a “normal” traffic commissioner does approx 95k a year + expenses, what would Mrs Bell make, and would she really drive in a scabby 6 year old freelander? ?
I guess there is a nice lease car (probably with a driver" included in that job.
My guess is that the whole video is a lot of Bull, and the maker probably has been for coffee and biscuits, and has been rattled a bit about is tachograph interruption devise, drivers hours, maintenance record or forcing his drivers to work long hours and work with unsafe equipment. (Just guessing )
What disappointment me is that “Trucknet CSI” hasn’t been cleverer and just jumped on the bandwagon.
Remember nobody is guilty until proven.
For all I now it could be this persons wife who he was filming (hence the reason he got a visit from the rozzers)
eagerbeaver:
(Just for the record I know a number of wealthy folk who couldn’t give a toss about cars and drive very mundane second hand cars).
There can be up to 15 cars in the car park at head office when we are all there for something, there’s two that have private plates, couple of brand new jobbies, couple of sports cars, none of which belong to the gaffer. In fact I would imagine you would be very hard pushed to pick his one out… Some people just value different things higher.
Some people with money couldn’t care less what car they drive, but wouldn’t be seen dead sending their kids to the local comprehensive school…
Caledoniandream you should read what the Minister of State said…‘covertly filmed footage of Beverly Bell,STC’…she was done bang to rights, off with her head.
Armagedon:
Thought I would bring to my local MP’s attention,my buddy, the speeding activities of our senior STC and today I received a reply which I thought I would
share with you.this is the most interesting part…from the Minister of State John Hayes CBE MP.
I can confirm that the Department is aware of the covertly filmed footage of
Beverly Bell, the Senior Traffic Commissioner driving her own car in Lancashire
that was made available on social media. The incident was brought to the attention
of the Lancashire police force.the police considered it did not meet the evidential standards
to indicate any offences took place. They arrested an individual in connection with the filming
on the basis that it may be interfering with the holder of a judicial office. The Crown Prosecution
Office[CPS] did not ultimately decide to prosecute the individual.
Interesting response, now we at least know why ‘part 2’ was not shown but you also have to
consider with onboard vehicle cameras on your rig today, film a Judge or such like ‘eating babies’
while driving along… you might be the one prosecuted.
Would have been interesting if she’d done it in North Wales, I wonder what their position would’ve been considering this article… itv.com/news/wales/update/20 … -evidence/
Id just like to reiterate my 100% support for the gorgeous Beverley Bell (I would in a heartbeat).
No evidence she was driving and even if she was the conditions where good enough for the speeds presented and I’m sure she could argue that she thought she was being chased and was just about to call for assistance when she noticed the pursuit vehicle was having trouble keeping up.
So was most likely a disgruntled trucker who had been on the receiving end of a recent tongue lashing by Beverley (chance would be a fine thing) due to a variety of truck related misdemeanors.
I can only hope that by luxury of self incrimination the dash cam squealer has had his licence revoked by Beverley, purely for irony purposes and a dash of instant Karma.
Chasing a lone ■■■■■■■■ attractive woman who looks a lot younger than her years, what was he thinking.
