The 'ROG' thread

Sorry to hear it ROG mate. Who knows, the workshop who’d been fixing it could have slipped and put too much in the thing.

Load of crap mate :frowning:
I was sacked from wetherspoons when I was a manager for not paying for 5 quids worth of beer, it started off I stole 500 quid from safe and changed weekly till they had this. Went to tribunal and got 500 quid settlement. Absolute joke, although I did go and see my old manager who did the stitching up and as I couldnt find him I did find his car  still see him about now and the worm wont dare look me in the eye! The worst thing was being called a liar, I admitted owt I’d ever done and was telling truth about these drinks but they just sat there smiling at me I could of lost it
Good luck for the future rog

Hard luck ROG

COMMENTS PLEASE…

I’m not going to comment without seeing the rest of the tribunals decision but at least they haven’t slated you, they said they regarded you as a credible witness and say they may not have dismissed you had it been their decision to make.

Time to move on with your life me thinks

Changing the subject slightly, I’m curious to know what happened to the trainees who’s training was cut short, did they finish the day with more off-road driving or were they simply sent home early, and was it their decision or yours to cut the training short ?

After letting them have a good break they were sent home - dare not let them drive a car straight away as they were so knackered.

It was MY decision to stop them driving the LGV because they were too dangerous.

This was only a prob on the 1 to 1 all-day C training - the 1 to 1 all-day C+E artic training was different as the drivers themselves made the decision to stop driving - that comes from C experience where they had learned their limitations.

You did not lie …

they did not lie…

Well some one Lied

You did not lie … TRUE

they did not lie… OH yes they did

Well some one Lied THEY DID

The bottom line you have no job and they have new instructor … NOT EXACTLY

I guess they won…

LEGALLY YES - but only because it was a TRIBUNAL and not a COURT

So what’s your point

What a load of verbal tosh Rog.
They say they believe you and that you did not do the deed but also say its the employers right to dismiss whoever they wish.
Makes you wonder what the hell tribunals are for.
Sorry to hear that Rog its not fair and very unjust.

If you are that Confident take it to Court …

Sorry Rog but this is a sham, you really do need to seek some proper legal advice.

A bargain at that price if you are that confident of winning… Or just live with it if you cant afford to fight it… Bieng unemployed i would think you can get Free Council.

From what I have learned so far from the internet, there is no free legal aid for this type of thing.

I am going to try and find a lawyer who will do ‘no win no fee’ and maybe tempt them further with a cut of the compo - we shall see how it goes…

If unsuccessful, then it does seem unfair that justice can only be attained by those with money.

They will not take on the case on a no win no fee IF THEY feel they cant win…

So it wil be great to see what they say after talking to you.

As a cut of nothing is nothing…

Exactly right - if a win is not 75%+ then I will not bother either :exclamation:

I would not give you a 10% chance of winning.

Off to check my oil …

Well you lost the tribunal case … and i cant see the court changing that.

Maybe you should just accept it and move on.

It seems very hard to make some people understand but I will try :unamused:

A TRIBUNAL is NOT a COURT and their remit is different.

If you take the time to READ CAREFULLY the summing up from the TRIBUNAL you will see that the TRIBUNAL judge gives an explanation as to what they can and cannot do.

PS - I should hope you do check your oil - just as I always do
Again, with reference to the oil, you seem to read and only see what you want to instead of reading the FACTS.

At the sad light of day you have lost your job over this,

So you lost the tribunial

The tribunal upheld the original decision of ‘gross misconduct’

And That Is A Fact
