The real panic starts

There’s a few on here leave pathetic comments and never back them up. :unamused:

Funny you should say that jakey. How about backing up your statement where you said there’s plenty of other ways to get goods in to shops other than lorries.

Look at the picture, that’s where the as**holes came from,

Speaking of ‘as**holes’ I see these lot are fully supporting the key workers using our roads. :unamused:

Depends on the way you look at it? Some drivers seem to think because the roads are quiet it gives them the right to speed, a bit like late at night sometimes.
Was reading an article the other day where 2 car drivers were caught one at over 80 in a 30 mph and the other at 96 in a 40 mph.
If you want these idiots on our roads fair enough but I would prefer a bit of a deterant to keep others safe.

Stick to the limit and they will never bother you or steal your money.

Depends on the way I look at it? …ok.

It all goes down to the ‘Speed kills’ thing .
Thing is ‘Speed’ does not kill, it’s ‘inappropriate speed’ that kills. :bulb:
So…
Traffic is down by what?..at least 50% ?
Pedestrians down by what? 90%.?

But still your mates in the Old Bill do not give any discretionary leeway, like an allowance for the lack of traffic and drop in potential rta.s
Instead use their famous ‘limited resources’ :unamused: that they always use as an excuse for doing something actually important and useful, to make a bit of cash out of those people who are out on the road for 99% a valid and important reason…many of which are doing it reluctantly.

If I was caught by those tossers doing 56 in a 50 in an artic to catch a booking slot carrying food, or a nurse rushing to keep an important appointment with an elderly high risk patient in a busy workload schedule, AND on a comparatively quieter road than usual with minimal ■■■■ up potential, I’d be having a word with myself, saying… ‘’[zb] this why am I even bothering, I’m staying home where it’s safe’'.

I thought we had agreed not to rise to his bullocks.

I could back that up no problem but you know as well as me these guys know what I am talking about so I ain’t wastiong my time.

So clever cloggs you are saying that sticking to speed limits is bullocks? That’s about the level of your mentality though.

Have you ever thought about growing up?

Not true, sometimes I do some dusting too

I’d say the real panic will start when HM Government sends a private jet to Holland for JTS to come back and fill the driver shortage, drivers will be dying of a new virus called death by boredom as he regales RDC’s with stories of his and his generations perfection at all levels, survival rate from this new virus is said to 0% although I could think of a few ways to cure it

Speed is always a factor in fatal accidents.
When did you last see parked cars crashing into each other?

I am old enough to walk through this life with my eyes wide open and in no need of your sanctimonious advice. Thank you kindly.

I would say the two examples I gave were innapropriate speed? They do give leeway for the innacuracy of speedos. Why should they give anymore? Speed limits are law and there for a good reason.
Even if the roads are quiet why should we bwe allowed to speed? I will tell you why. Because a lot of drivers have no conception of the dangers. Can you imagine if we let everyone drive at the speed they thought was appropriate. The death toll would be ridiculous.
Stick to the limits and there is no problem. Break the limit and you risk getting fined. Doing 56 in a 50 to catch a slot? Why? because you got held up? Or because you want to finish earlier?
Stick to 50, you won’t get a fine . It’s not your problem. A nurse should not have to speed either. If it’s that urgent an ambulance or a doctor should be calling.

No chance, I am retired and staying that way. Never beem in a RDC in my life thank goodness from what I read. Sorry I bore you.

Like it is in Germany, you know. Those unrestricted autobahn’s.

That has to be one of your more stupid comments in the present climate ambulances and doctors are hardly a luxury item and if a life can be saved by a nurse who has the capability to give first aid to someone who may otherwise die then the speeding is more than justified.

Laws can -

  1. Change.
  2. Be wrong.

Yup, 50mph on a s/c deemed dangerous and irresponsible at 2359 on a Sunday night, one minute later the limits change and it’s now safe and acceptable.

Not according to the Scots it isn’t. You maniac…

I bet you were a wheeze at school Jakey,.all rules obeyed homework always in on time, school uniform pristine, and a proverbial apple to the teacher.

‘‘Sir Sir that Robroy and his mates are breaking the school rules again’’.

I have actually seen that in a car park in whitby. Someone forgot to apply their handbrake and the empty car rolled forward and hit another empty car.

Strangely enough I was talking about on all roads and not German autobahns. :unamused:
