Trucks we have at work the drivers who look after them the best are the ones who have added what some call tat. The ones who have the attitude of someone else’s truck, these ones tend to be in a bit of a state, filthy inside and out, mirror covers missing, damages bumpers mud guards etc…That isn’t always the case though is it. There are plenty of guys that look after their motors without looking like they are sponsored by ‘All Ride’
I can’t speak for your co but maybe in such a case the pay is crap, the guys want a pay raise, and the others that are showing their boss that they are overpaid to the extent that they are upgrading the firms motors are antagonising the rest to the point where they don’t give a [zb] any longer…speaking from such an experience in the past.
Any boss who looks at some wheel trims and concludes he’s overpaying his drivers isnt one worth working for in my experience.
I agree but I wasn’t on about just trims, this was in the 90s, these guys had all the Kelsa bars back and front, Hellas, the full monty, that is what he said 'Look at Tom ■■■■ and Harry (names changed to protect the guilty 
) they think I’m paying enough. The remaining drivers were all gone within 6 months, and he lost some good lads.

I saw a guy the other night parked up for the night outside Doug’s Diner at Penrith with a tipper. He was on his hands and knees with a white marker jobby going over the lettering on his tyres, one word sprang to mind…'WHY?
Not just for the pure pointlessness of it, but he must go in some [zb] holes with a tipper that would just [zb] it up anyway.

I’ve just ordered a new cb antenna and microphone. My boss is giving me the money back though, is this technically spending my money on the boss’ wagon?
It doesn’t mean I’m tippexing the tyre walls or colour coding the dashboard though.

Just, the original antenna was a crappy short stinger with the top missing. The mic only worked if you tilted it slightly. Not good when trying to go around roundabouts you see.
