The Establishment - isn’t doing anywhere near enough for people both already doing the job, and people aspiring to join the workforce for this job - HOME GROWN Brits I refer to here.
Stated @ 59:20 - that which we already knew: The RHA are our enemies in all this.
Thank god I’m oven ready and levelled up already, god help us.
Which of the 5 or 6 people is the boss?
What point are you trying to make?
Grant Shapps made a good case for himself I think ( only listening from 55 mins)
Had laugh when grant shapps. Says .
Arla in his constituency Hatfield. Are paying 50k plus and on certain shift patterns drivers are earling 78k a year.
50k is maybe plausible maxing hours out but 78k no chance .
Would love to know where he gets his figures from
Quick calculation based on 60 hours a week at £25 an hour then could be possible I guess

Grant Shapps has a history of a struggle with facts and figures, his company sold a kit so clients could earn $20,000 in 20 days!
He also said,
"“Let me get this absolutely clear … I don’t have a second job and have never had a second job while being an MP. End of story.”
That was in Feb 2015.
Then in March 2015, after it became apparent he did have other work he admitted he “over-firmly denied” having a second job.
.
The RHA are a total disgrace they have been complicit in ensuring their members have the cheapest possible workforce and the lowest possible costs.
The current boss Rod Mc Kenzie left the BBC after complaints alleging he bullied colleagues, he is now using his contacts within the media to draw attention to the plight of his members he’s made a lot of noise recently one stunt involved a truck being parked outside Westminster.
Its pathetic to watch, if only they had made as much of an effort to improve the lot of the people who actually do the work, improved roadside facilities, a reduction in hours and an end to the ponsi schemes that so many employers use when paying drivers all this day rate and load percentage fraud, I’m glad the government has stood firm and refused to allow drivers to be added to the critical worker list.

We can bet that the truck parked outside westminster wasn’t calling for the removal of road fuel duty and Scandinavian and NZ type LHV’s.
Productivety and excessive costs matter so we’re told.
country is over crowded ,…= more pollution .how does £12.50 make the emissions clean so the vehicle can go into clean air zone.Cost on new trucks has been going up and up for years I do not hear them winging on about that but when a driver wants a fair rate and less hours the plead poverty . the you tube part was the same old same old all who have a say have let the working class down
Their ■■■■■■■■■ is to remove the pesky unwanted driver from the vehicle entirely, sadly that isn’t going to work on the UK’s increasingly congested roads save for a very few specific tasks and that’s years away.
There is no one in the current political parties who gives a monkeys for the genuine real working class, their lives health working conditions hopes dreams anything, they make no secret of this indeed hold us in complete contempt.
I’m just amazed at how many of our fellow UK nationals can’t see this, the former eastern europeans (whom i feel increasingly are my fellow countrymen, so many English in particular having surrendered wholesale to the Bunter Junta etc) laugh at how easily and quickly the programming has worked.

It’s the depreciation of a modern truck because it’s too expensive to maintain in the long term in the used market, combined with fuel costs and the deliberate lack of productivety contained in a 44 tonnes max gross which are the problems.
They know that cutting wages is their only scope for any profit.
That and doing what the government wants in minimising tonne/miles run.
The result being the laughable oxymoron of a road transport industry based on minimising productivety and wage levels to save costs.

The difference between the Scandinavian and NZ road transport industries v ours goes back a lot further than the agenda 30 coup.
It’s an anti road pro rail country from the time when the rules were rigged against road transport and when the motor truck was invented and the rail interests saw the threat it posed.
Seems Grant Shapps ( the man in charge of transport) fell off his bike…not too badly hurt.
Rumours he was moon-lighting on Deliveroo to make up his paltry MP’s pay are being denied. Colleagues say he was cycling home and may have became unbalanced from the weight of the brown envelope in his trouser pocket.

Ah yes. Those bad MPs who were sacked from the Labour party.
Not like those bad MPs who were defended by the Tory party.

The quality of MP’s from all parties is at an all time low however if your MP’s are committing offences while being a serving MP that are punishable by prison I’d say you are in just as big a hole.

I’m defending no one…
All bad MPs should be punished according to the rules and laws in place.
Pity that not everyone thinks that way.

Paterson is no longer an MP so the right result was arrived at in the end yet Webbe is still an MP the whole system needs independant oversight.
