See that Dave, we have a Gateshead Ava Gardener in our Ang the barefoot contessa. But to my knowledge I cannot remember her wearing boots even steel cap ones even when she was in the jungle with Clarke Gable. Even Esther Williams spent most of her time without shoes.

Fair play Norm, I think Ava Gardener was a very good looking woman. She was also a good actress, but never found happiness despite her beauty and sultry looks .
Cheers Dave.

Sandie Shaw performed barefoot Harry, more my generation than yours. Lulu was/is tasty with or without shoes.
Sandie Shaw (born 26 February 1947) is an English pop singer, who was one of the most successful British female singers of the 1960s. In 1967 she was the first British act to win the Eurovision Song Contest. She has been described as “the barefoot pop princess of the 1960s”.

Cheers Dave.

the computer properly and obtain this sort of thing myself, until that
day comes along I’ll just toddle along on here sending my rubbish by the
“one finger” typing method and become learn-ed from other people.

hiya,
My Wife has just informed me should this machine blow up there’s no more
coming through the door so, I can get any ideas of a new computer coming
my way as far away from my mind as possible, so if needs be I’ll have to use
duct tape, cable ties and easy start to keep it going and failing that the big
hammer which is one of the few tools still lurking in the shed.

Well, last Sunday I visited a couple of my grandchildren, our Sophie sat at the laptop, click, click, click, “what are you doing” says I, “I’m playing this game grandad”…she’s nearly 3. She was working the key board faster than I can. Hell it made me feel old. What will the young uns be doing in 50 yeras time after being born into an electronic age. Scary.
