Just taken over a 17 plate unit, anyone know how to exit the computer other than stopping and turning the electrics off?

You mean the display computer between the dials?.Its the little button below the knob that you turn to select the different screens

Yep, that’s the one, but once any screen is selected there is no way out that I can find to look at something else, e.g. if I choose to look at how much air is in the tanks then I’m stuck with that until I stop and turn off the ignition, pressing or turning the button does absolutely nothing.

ff to 50secs, it look simlar to that

Haven’t noticed a return button below the big one, will look on Monday. Will also try to pair my phone to the unit, as shown in the bit before that, thanks.

She came to one of my previous workplace to take us on a demo drive when the new shape daf XF came out

You need to come out of that menu by pressing the button below the knob. You can get to any of the other things then by a turn of the knob. Then when your on the symbol you need press the knob in to bring it up in the display. No need to turn the ignition off

Dear Daf your viscous fan and window regulator failed today after 17 yrs ,I’ve paid you £499 for new ones ,it wouldn’t happen on an ERF ! :imp:

Dear Daf your viscous hub was not good , after calling imperial to complain they said that there is notes on the system that the hub may need milling out to fit ! And it’s a bit taller too , I’ve heard a patern part that was over £200 cheaper would go straight on .

Bet youre spitting feathers at that. Are DAF still using an old Leyland Imperial ruler that doesnt go smaller than 1/2" divisions??

Is it an interference fit, can you press out and swap over the old one?

It was a nowhere near fit ,on the right hand hub I’ve milled out the clean bit that you can see to allow a nice fit ,before it was holding out by around 3-4 mm .
