Well i thought i would carry the name of the subject on.
I’ve spoken to john over the last couple of days and spoken to jaki in the office and i have had an email with my Class 2
Dates and times i am over the moon with this, i will be starting on the 23rd of July as i am on holiday before and i will be staying in a hotel for four days so these dates are the most practical.
I will be writing a training diary for you all to read when i have returned to the hotel (which im yet to book must do that soon…) so everything is fresh in my mind not that i will be able to forget anything as this will be one of the most important tests i will ever do!

After i received the email i spoke to John directly and it was thought the distance i will be traveling (121miles) it would be better to do the course in the week as apposed to having a break over the weekend and not have to make two journeys but if i wanted i could of started the course earlier as at the end of the month but as i already have holiday plans which they have kindly worked round.
So today i spoke to HR on the transport side of where i work and asked if they take on new drivers which they do and are keen to take on new ones, so after a nice chat with them i will be getting a paper application form to fill out and as well to fill out a online one(not sure why??) so yeah after i pass hopefully i will have a job as long as i pass the assessment and the paper assessments.
They seemed pretty keen as did i. so fingers crossed…

Yeah I was thinking that I was looking for a premierinn as the times I’ve stayed in them they have always been good with good food… but the nearest one is in braintree…tad far to walk of Taxi it…hmmm never stayed at a Travelodge everything seems ££££ there with parking and WiFi cheap rooms tho but pay for parking. Hmm

Travel lodges are not too bad. Not as classy as Premier Inn (IMO) but they suffice for comfortable.
Agreed that transport is a problem once there.
Maybe car journey won’t be too bad if you’ve got a good sleep in between.

Hi dan, ask John which b&b to stay in! The one I stayed in was comfy,clean, decent breakfast with free wifi and free parking and in a good location not far away from where to meet John in the mornings. I can’t remember what it was called now but John will tell you!
As for catching the train or driving take your car so you can get about.

I’ve got some b+b names of of jaki in one of the emails she sent me so will be checking them out when I get paid. I will be borrowing a car from a family member as I don’t want to leave the wife without a car with our little one.
I shall be writing a diary when I return to the hotel hopefully get some pictures aswell you never know

So back from family fun in the sun loved spending time with my son and wife, now just a few weeks then i shall be driving up to essex to start my training. Looking forward to meeting john and getting started.
