Hi ■■■■■■■■ Gill,
Have another read at Happysack`s journey.
Do you still want a job as a route planner at Stobbies ■■

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

He would fit in just fine! :stuck_out_tongue:

Even “fast eddies” “planners” cannot be as dim as CG,can they? Boy,I just bet CG could screw a traffic desk up in the first half hour he was sat down!! Where do they grow carrots around Inverness,it must be in greenhouses surely, too far north to be grown outside IMO !Then again,CG could under plant some “funny gear” as a cash crop,I believe it grows well in Waverton eh! And as for carrots from China ? I’ve heard of Tea from China? I wouldn’t like to be downwind of that box when they opened the doors at Tescos ! Cheers Bewick.

How far is that from Inverness? Sounds like good economics though, carrots from the South to Inverness and carrots from Aberdeenshire? to Cambridge! Sounds great,no wonder veg is so dear in the supermarkets !! Bewick.

The carrots I took up to inverness were organic fancy dan carrots for the posh supermarkets. Grown down south but packed in a small factory unit just outside inverness.

I also on many occasions loaded Scottish carrots and took them down to chatteris to the packing plant there. I guess these probably ended up in ordinary supermarkets.

There was a farm near Stranraer used to grow carrots Tam French’s used to take them up to Fife. Eddie.

hey cg give up the idea of being a planner.as they only look at a screen and think you can fly and not drive.I have worked for many haulier,s and would say that some were good amd some bad.I think you want to stop getting at bewick,as he was planning long before you were thought of,I met a few of his drivers at the old libby,s plant at milnethorpe and they were spot on.remember you got to crawl before you walk.and when i was starting out some 30 year ago i was told if you need to know something ask one of the old boy,s as they would help,as with age comes wisdom

Hello little ha ba
Thankyou for that advise. I know what you mean about planning I to be honest, I would like more out of life than looking at a screen.
If thats all the job really does, I would rather stick to the idea of driving HGV’s.

Don’t worry. I think me and Bewick will get on a bit better after our last scrap and I value his and your advise.

Kindest regards
CG

This is exactly what our assistant traffic manger,Mick Wilson RIP,would think of you CG,now if in future you ever become as good a driver and “traffic planner” as he was you will have something to crow about Marra eh!Until you have achieved that sort of level I would suggest you keep that hole in your face shut and the two things that are flapping on the side of your head OPEN !!! Cheers Bewick.
