All part of learning the trade mate. Don’t worry about it.
Im a bit annoyed at the training , 3 different instructors over 4 days hasn’t helped
I had that at my first training provider. Its very frustrating listening to different opinions and differing ways of instructing.
Stick with it though, its worth it in the end.
3 different instructors over 4 days hasn’t helped
A very poor method of training that is run around the school rather than the candidate. We have never used 3 instructors over 4 days. We always schedule the candidate to have the same trainer and same vehicle for the entire course. Naturally, if a trainer goes sick then we have to do something about that.
To get someone in quickly, at their own request, we will sometimes offer a course using two trainers. But this is always made clear at the time of booking and it is totally the candidate’s choice whether or not to accept this.

Without doubt 3 or more instructors is bad idea, trainees don’t progress well if thats allowed to happen.
However I’ve found that a 2nd instructor near the test day can help give trainees a 2nd opinion, help to build confidence and get them used to a different person in the cab thus they cope with the examiner (yet another different face/voice) giving them instructions/directions on test more easily. What works for one doesn’t always suit everyone, but if you have a good team of instructors that all work together and sing off the same song sheet its not a problem to have say two different instructors, but three?
The problem with a different instructor each day is a lack of continuity and understanding of the trainee’s areas of weakness, staying with the same instructor helps as they will remember from previous lessons what work is yet required to reach test standard and they can carry on where they left off from the previous lesson. Also what test areas they have covered or not, what they found difficult, how the trainee reacts to instruction etc. Trainee progress books help us understand what areas need improvement and we have test routes listed to ensure none get missed, and as trainees see their scores in the booklet rise from introduced - practicing - mastered, that builds confidence and the scores make it easy for another instructor to see what is left to master. However its not a perfect solution to the problem of changing tutors, so we always keep customers with the same instructor where possible, like my driver today - Mechanic from Mercedes Trucks called Danny, pleasure of me teaching him for two days and passed with 3 minors, got a chap from Revis Transport tomorrow, again two days with me on the artic - see if he passes too.
Sorry to hear that. Just get yourself together and sure u will be smiling on your next attempt.
Good luck mate

A bit poor that , I would complain maybe get a free retest out of it if not hay ho you tried , nail it second time m8 the nerves are bit more settled second time I’ve been there got the t-shirt . All the best !.
Ive been very fortunate to get my training funded by the dwp because i am unemployed & i get a free retest.
Maybe im being Cynical but cant help feeling my training was poor so they get paid again.
I spoke to the examiner after the test and he confirmed that the method i have learnt negotiating islands is the reason for my fail.
My instructor says its a guaranteed fail if a vehicle has to slow down after i enter a roundabout regardless of if i get on the island first so i had no confidence getting on busy roundabouts and failed for hesitation.
Im not going to name companies or instructors on here but i do feel these idiots have screwed up my chances of passing yesterday with poor training , a sluggish automatic truck and conflicting teaching methods - i’d deffo be asking for refund or taking them to county court if i had paid this out of my own pocket.
All is not doomed though … i have a better understanding of what i need to do to pass and confident i can turn it round next time.
If i fail again i will pay for one retest so i have two more attempts

So by not naming them you are willing to see another train with them - perhaps a member on here …
Unemployed with 3 kids - Ive been given free training with all costs included for provisional, cpc , driver cards , 4 weeks college / theory , practical training and tests
Job to go to when i pass test im hardly going to start an online campaign against them.
Might not be fair based on one persons experience anyway.
Well the dwp are paying for the training not the training company then . so why not name them? the training company will have been paid by us workers.
