Tesco shop deliveries over xmas

I assume there all shut Xmas day , what abt Boxing Day (sat) , are they open or closed , will they be having deliveries ?ta

Check your rota Dozy, that should tell you but yes they are open for shoppers.

You ARE having a laugh surely?

I would bet that the large ones will get need a delivery on the 25th.

I would not expect anything to be open on 25th or 26th.

Some tesco stores are open 09-1800 on the 26th, shelves should still be stocked as many aren’t shopping there this Xmas I don’t think.

The one in Elgin must therefore be an exception as some times it’s bloody heaving with punters.

The chilled RDCs will be working on the 26th to clear the RSU from the stores.

thank you please.

Chilled has deliveries going out 26th.

Most supermarkets will have chilled goods going out on the 26th. I dont think I have ever missed a shift on the festive bank holidays. 25th is a write off but 26th, 1st and 2nd have always been premium rate shifts no matter who I chose to work for whether it be Tesco, Asda, Iceland etc

Some places in Scotland still work as normal over Xmas because they have their break over the New Year

My local tesco opens at 8 on the 26th

Why the hell do they have to open on the 26th,my local supermarket is open on New Year’s Day too.
I’m so glad I don’t work in retail distribution as family time means nothing to them.

Thank goodness they’ll be open Boxing day, we would otherwise die in the famine that closing for 2 consecutive days would trigger… :unamused:

How many of our brethren will be dragged kicking and screaming out to retail hell to the ‘‘sales’’ on Boxing day, can’t say i blame any bugger working if that’s their partners idea of rest and recuperation.

Yeah you will be demolishing another tosco on Boxing Day as all open again but bet them dot com vans will all be parked up for you to blame oh and you will get the great bank holiday rate of pay too

No deliveries on Xmas day this year, that starts next Xmas lol …I shouldn’t joke about that really. Stores we do from our dc have been told not to expect any deliveries before 11am and only big stores are getting deliveries Boxing Day. It’s all being done on a volunteer basis, needless to say I ain’t volunteered for nothing

I ain’t working so I couldn’t give a toss about stores getting any deliveries, I’ve got 4 days off for Xmas and 3 for new year, ain’t done too bad, struck lucky on my rota for a change

the supermarkets cater to the masses, and in the uk that means " ethnic minorities " who in reality are the ethnic majority who do not celebrate xmas.( except for the naughty ones),then theres the naughtier ones that go out and get bombed as well. …though why arnt the moderators blocking the posts mentioning xmas and makig us write “festive season” as the stores arnt allowed to mention merry christmas in case it offends the minority. :unamused:

Just checked, my local opens at 8am till 10 pm on the 26th

It’s not just ‘ethnic minorities’ who don’t care for xmass. I’m white, male, heterosexual, working class, average height, average weight, without disabilities. I couldn’t give two hoots about the birth of a ■■■■■■■ in a far away land.

The extra pay is nice though… :grimacing:
