I just had the pleasure of doing this and passed, I even stated that I do not have full C+E or a digital tacho card or the DQC (I have none!) So as long as you’re a complete drone like myself then it doesn’t matter if you’re legally able to do the job or not.
I wasn’t trying to be funny , all I was saying that if your used to problem solving yourself then I don’t think you’ll be the sort of person for them
I was speaking to a Tesco driver from Avonmouth and he said all new drivers will be on a new rate. He said hes on £11 odd an hour but the newer people will be on £9.63 if I remember correctly.
He was saying they trained people from the warehouse to drive and now they either have to go back to warehouse work or take a paycut to the new wage to keep driving.

Tesco is a lot like a lot of other major corporations where the lowly workers are concerned.
You don’t think for yourself and you don’t deviate from the plan, it’s all by the book regardless of wether anything actually gets done or not.

I’d suggest that they are then happy enough to risk reducing their expected applications then…
Which probably tells you all you need to know about the alleged driver shortage!

I think the only truck’s that Tossco drivers overtake are Argos wagon’s. And even then it takes them 5 miles.
Most r taking foot off as paid by hr so why hurry lol
It seems that Tosco are currently heavily involved in “restructuring” (cost cutting) phase, as I’ve just heard from a reliable source that they are looking to renegotiate/reduce their labour outsourcing costs in areas other than driving. So probably a bad time to go and work for Tosco (if there was ever a good time) as the accountants are on the march counting the pens, pencils and post-it notes looking to save a few pence. All while they earn/cost the firm thousands! 
We are hearing same story, ot,weekend rate ,to be cut just rumour at the moment
Always trying to save somewhere, if anyone goes to drive for them for 9.50 an hour then more fool them!

I mite go in summer ,3 different pay contracts in here now I am on middle one good money ,if they change my contract I go I am thinking bout tipper work health not good grocery loads I struggle a wee bit ,had chemo +radio therapy for throat cancer back 1 yr now stamina cont get it back mote get tipper card in summer and go

I start 7 am on grocery loads maybe go to Coca Cola or tenants brewery for return load I strgpuggle a wee bit like job as you say stamina not same as before no saliva glands now,all food must have a gravy so it slides down ok ,so that rules out tramping so thinking tipper work medical in June at 60 take it from there cheers lads
