Good news lads we will not slow you down no more tesco putting fleet back to 56mph
NOOOOO! They and Gregs were the only guys I could actually overtake!
My unit put up to 56 to day too windy to test it I was not happy lol
‘Tosco’ used to sell Groceries, then Clothes, then Banking, then Insurance, now they’re doing Fast Food !
what next-Sports Cars ? Fast Ladies ?
My truck does 56 , was doing it years ago , made no difference , back door staff would still have you sat staring at gates for hours , no
Room, shift change ( that went on for hours) , deaf , bone idle etc etc
Don’t you suffocate if you go that fast?
And does this mean that Tesco no longer takes our safety seriously? That’s what the stickers on the trailers say…
I used to feel comforted that Tesco was looking after my wellbeing. Now I’m disappointed. Why don’t they care about me any more?

Is that the new units that’s been appearing the last month or so?? The ones at our place are limited to 53mph

Doubt that very much, even if they do some of the idiots who drive them will still be running around at 45mph on a zb’ing motorway…[emoji49][emoji49][emoji49]

They still look like zb!! Asda are just getting some nice new green Scanias.
Its fleet spec, its not supposed to be pretty. You really think Tesco would get FH500’s for trolly dolly work?

No but one with no stupid windows all round it comfortable & capable of achieving at least 90kph…!

To be fair, the old Axors were proper dull & ordinary but the new shape Mercs look alright I think for a fleet spec jobby. They certainly have a bit more quality about them on the inside.

I suspect you might be right about this one though. Wasn’t there a Tesco driver on here a while back who commented that driving at 56 was ‘scary’ I remember him getting some well deserved ‘Contraflow treatment’.

That’s not a million miles off. The new Tesco units are the same as that, just with a lower ride and rear windows (which are more useful than a flat floor in supermarket yards).

To me they are not, the rounded aftermarket looking air kits ruin it[emoji53]
I’ve seen some of the new Tesco’s units 65 plate at Peterborough’s DC and I can assure you that there all limited to 49.5 mph so you guys can still overtaking them at any time

Thought so.

A joke I hope. It hasn’t been too windy for us going flat out with a 16’2" decker this week. I even overtook a mcburney on monday
That’ll explain why I couldn’t catch the Tesco artic in front of me on M4 the other night then…thght he’d popped a fuse or summat! Saw a new, green Asda unit tonight on M48…thght it was a new ride for a Star Driver. And the new Actros isn’t a bad looking motor…shame it isn’t as comfy to drive and the auto box was better. Here’s mine but, as I’m on nights, if u see it in the daylight, it won’t be me driving it…unless it’s gone proper ratshit!
