Tesco Liv back to old ways

Happy Trucker1:
I have actually emailed both Amazon & Tesco today regarding the current increase in covid cases and what there policy will be moving forward if the numbers continue to increase, just playing devils advocate.
Interesting to see if they get back to me .
No reply by Monday I will be back on the case pushing for some answers .

I think your going at it from the wrong angle. I don’t think drivers on a whole demonstrated enough interest in covid restrictions when they were in place, for it to wash that we are all deeply worried about covid cases now. How many drivers do you seen wearing a mask, keeping a distance etc. at the moment despite these rising cases we are apparently all worried about? They’ll see right through it.

My argument would simply be that being allowed to stay in the cab during covid was a significant improvement for drivers comfort & ability to properly rest. There was no apparent issues associated with drivers waiting in their cabs over the space of 2 years, reverting back to waiting rooms comes across as a needless step back for drivers at a time when we are trying to attract & retain more drivers in the industry.

Noremac:
If you stay in the waiting room, it can save quite a walk. Grab a subsidised sarnie and a free coffee / tea and play with your phone for half an hour, big deal.

Half an hour

If it was always half an hour nobody would be complaining. Try 90 mins watching the screen waiting for a bay then a further 2hr on the bay being tipped…

I personally would have issues of ‘spike-protein’ sheddings from the congregated jabbed demographics, potentially invading my own unjabbed metabolism, but imagine how that pov would fly ?
