Still bitter I see…if you didnt get caught pulling fast ones you’d probably still be there
Not bitter at all, I’m doing something I enjoy for better money and weekly pay
Btw what’s this about a day driver being asked to leave and a night manager on suspension?
But eh, I don’t know what’s going on at Tesco eh
I don’t know about a night manager on suspension, I work days so have no interest in night staff, but if your on about the day driver I know about then he left of his own accord, not asked to leave at all, no other day drivers have left lately…so 50% of what you think you know is wrong
Ok. So you don’t know. Fair enough. The day driver that ‘left’. So it is not true that he threatened the office staff to take them out to sort them out? That he was told to resign before they apply disciplinary procedure? And that his first name did not start with the letter A?? But ok I know nothing, do I?

how long is a typical shift at Tesco?
how likely/easy is it to get the bonus each month?
constant weekends is a killer but some people prefer it
Co-op RDC at Newhouse is 30-31k salaried for 48 hour week, 5 over 7, you’d end up with about the same doing 48 hours at Tesco on this weekend contract
Depends what you want long or short day, I do average of 9 1/2 hours a day, some 7 hour days some 10 1/2
Bonus is a doddle and I work in London.
I prefer a mix of week and weekends off.
Trouble with co op I don’t like to be told tomorrow im roted for a 12 hour day, I may want a short day not long.
And unload/push cages up the street, sod that.

I have zero experience working for Tesco however I have worked with them a lot and so has a family member.
Honestly I would rather turn gay, have jump leads attached to my conkers, slit with a razor and have acid in the wounds before I worked for them.
+1 before I even consider working for them again - I quite like my 1 mile drive to work and the pay that I get that doesn’t even come close to Tesco pay
So you’re asked if you want a long or short shift each day?
Do start times vary much?
Depends on the work load, depends what your clerks are like, depends what your like a worker or a moaner.
The clerks get to know you as a person and what sort of days you want.
My time alters by about 1/2 hour. most days I start at 4.15. but then again depends on your depo staff.
fresh in expresses needs to be in early.

Thats the driver im on about, he didnt resign, he didnt get sacked, he had words and walked out and didnt come back, so your slightly correct, I know the driver perso ally and have spoke to him since.

wheres your self respect…theres no fun in being the head of the queue in your self made rolling roadblock, unless your a complete jobsworth.tut tut tut.though you will have lots of “colleagues” and when you have a harsh brake too many, you can go in for a “debrief” with your spazzy transport manager, and you can explain why you had to brake hard etc…the transport manager in Belfast, called out the tyre fitters because a driver defected a unit for the 5th wheel being faulty, says it all??..the shame of uk trucking, along with a few others…
whilst I know what you’re saying, and yeah it’s more fun to go faster, overtake everything you can and not worry about having your fuel consumption etc monitored the main reason why they need to monitor these things is because of people kicking the arse out their motors!!
