Pat I bet your 500 channels via satelitte are full of as much rubbish as ours is!!!
Pat Hasler:
I bought one of the magic circles once, it was crap.
I’ve had a couple over the years and in my experience they work well, although if you are in an area with poor TV reception then it’s virtually impossible to receive a signal, no matter what antenna you use.
This can be due to very localised conditions; I can park in a certain road and receive 60 channels, I can park fifteen feet further up the road and have no signal.

Yep ! … we have over 60 movie channels and all I can find worth watching at the moment is ‘Castaway’ … BBC America is showing a Top Gear marathon and although I am a big Top gear fan after years of seeing the old repeats it get on yer nerves a bit. There are 8 channels showing the Olympics and thats boring.
I’ve got a MEOS unit and it works everywhere in the UK and EU and the picture and general reception is good.
The only problem I have with it, is the Volume dial which has started to act up and it can be hit and miss but there again it does get a lot of use.
I haven’t changed the aerial from the one which came with it, so I can’t comment on improved reception using one.
The DVD player will play any region format so you can play EU/UK discs and US ones as well.
You will also need a step down adaptor as they only work on 12v not 24v, but I use one on the Hella socket in my cab.
ooops are we supposed to say olympics and bloody waste of money/ time only legacy from london 2012 will be another city / country in debt over olympics only one city in modern times has broken even in olympics and that was LA. As for satelitte TV glad to hear it is uniform across the world - crap!
I don’t think the Olympics are a waste of money. The opening ceremony was spectacular and showed the whole world what is great about Great Britain. I have felt so proud of my home country this week.
Britain out did what everyone thought was not possible (China) and showed that ■■■■ Mitt Romney what a plonker he is.
Then Hamilton won in Hungary

I don’t recall ever failing my HGV test either. That’s because you’ve never taken one.
Let’s face it, nobody would work for 110 hours a week driving a van and sleeping across the seats for less than £300 a week if they had an HGV licence.
VanNet is thataway------------------->
I don’t know why you have such an unholy obsession with my HGV! I CHOOSE to drive a van. You strike me as a semi- intelligent bloke, but sometimes you don’t half act the ■■■■■■■■.Now go and run your empire and give yourself a pat on the back for at least having a try at humour. Fair play to you Vincent.

Same here. Well said matey.
Ten ton over Volvo fh only goes 9 and it’s a 6x4 with a wet kit
Well I’m afraid we will have to agree to disagree, 3 weeks of sport or however long it lasts for how many billions■■? Yes I agree the opening ceremony was better than anyone expected but it just didn’t do it for me I’m afraid. Since London (and i say London not Great Britain as we keep getting told the Olympics is for all of us) all we have heard is the legacy it will leave for future generations. The only legacy it will leave will be debt, will it increase participation in sport - I doubt it, Sydney said the same things and has there particiapation increased in sport after the Olympics bearing in mind the outdoor lifestyle down that neck of the woods answer is NO. Absolute waste of money
One of our lads has just got one of those Alba portables from the Argos Clearance shop in Stanley Co Durham for £40 with a years warranty. Chop the cable and wire it to a 12v dropper.
