i notice tef transport scarborough are looking for a night trunk driver, anybody done the job and know if it’s worth applying or to steer well clear.
Who’s TEF?

thanks for that
Plenty of comments recently on here about TEF, just do a search m8, never worked for them myself
I wouldn’t do it. Purely because that A64 does my nut in!!! Let alone doing it every night.

Well, that and the fact that the commute from Guildford every night would be a killer!

cheers degsy,i’ve heard the same on here but figured a night trunk job might not be as bad if it’s the same set route every night and the bosses are out of the way in bed not ringing up every 20 minutes.

they’re on my doorstep and i’ve never worked there they’d be towards the bottom of the list if i was ringing round. but i’m a believer of making your own mind up and i’ve worked for some firms that have had a bad reputation, but i found them spot on to work for.
Think they’ve got 1 or 2 into palletforce
I drove for Nigel Rice, which is Beverley’s equivalent to TEF, on the night trunk.
Whilst they may be crap to work for on regular work, there’s not much they can do to make night trunking a crap job. So even if a firm has a bad rep to work for, as long as the wagons are OK and they pay on time then I think you’re OK doing night trunk work for most of them.
If you live in Scarborough area may be the best you can get not a great deal round there workwise.
thanks for the replies guys,i would just go for it but i’ve got a steady little number and once i’ve commited and left for something else it’s gone and no going back.could do with getting sacked then i’ve got no choice
