Tea Van Man Gets Arsey

I know the manageress of our local KFC in Newcastle…

She has had to work all over Christmas because

Muckaway:
RANSID, MANKOQ, MEEPHAT

Insisted on having these days off for religious reasons! You couldn’t make it up.

She says, just wait till ramadan, dhwahli or what ever they call it, she will make sure she’s off and they work… for HER religious reasons of course

Never had a bad Mcd’s Or Bk. I trust the food with them, and I have used them all over Europe. Can’t be bad! :sunglasses:

Mcd’s only use prime cuts of beef, as for these layby burgers, it would all be Macro muck, head meat and tongue, i stick to bacon.

Prime cuts of beef? From McDs? I somehow doubt that, a McD burger is grey before it’s cooked, yet when I buy beef from a butcher it’s red!

Burgers and sausages are made from the crap they steam clean off the bones when they’ve finished making real cuts of meat, pies and pasties are made from the crap they sweep up off the floor of the burger factories and kebabs are made from the crap they strain out of the drains at pie and pastie factories, strangely enough I Iove a kebab, second fave is a nice meat pie and last but by no means least is a Big Mac

I breed pedigree Charolais cattle and a felow breeder is a ‘scout with clout’ for Mcd’s, they only use prime cuts i assure you.

I know they start off with a decent beast, but I don’t think much of it goes to waste, they also use a lot of filler too

Nope, They’re red not grey. Trust me.

Aren’t you supposed to ask if I want fries

I must be mistaken then, having never been in a McD kitchen area I only see them from a distance, I know one thing though, British McDs are far tastier than American ones, all you can taste from them is salt and they are definitely grey, before and after cooking :unamused:

I’ve often wondered how come the tea and burger vans at steam rallies, truck shows etc are in the main better than the layby ones? I know they’re expensive (I’ve seen £4 at Gaydon classic com show) but are they better vetted?

The only things i buy from snack bars is drinks, kitkats etc i am a seriously paranoid ■■■■■■■ about cleanliness. Prime example was in a take away the other night chips and cheese and a small pizza 5.90 pays whilst waiting im watching these ■■■■■ eat food then handle food, clean worktops then handle food i ask for my money back. Abdul starts getting shirty i tell him straight i’ll phone up environmental health he gee’s me money back, i would never phone i’ll just never go there again.

That is just the tip of the ice berg im a freak! driver comes into transport office starts coughing his guts up i go off my nut and tell him to ■■■■ off home to bed you think i want to get sick? Im so bad

I’ve run classic/vintage lorries to shows for over 40 years. If the caterers are no good, the organisers soon get to hear about it, and they don’t get invited back next year! Good ones are in demand, there’s one who does most of the shows in my area, he’s busy every weekend, and goes back year after year.

No not a freak, well not for that anyway  I do the same, especially if there’s food involved, I had a toe to toe confrontation with a dirty ■■■■ who thought it was acceptable to cough his lungs up all over the chinese buffet I was about to delve into :imp: When I asked the slanty eyed server to replace the containers so that I could eat germ free food he gave it all a stir and said it would be ok now :unamused: needless to say I went toe to toe with that ■■■■ too before I left never to return :unamused:

One thing that disturbs me about tea wagons is cross contamination, they often use the same knives/cutting boards for raw and cooked meats, that’s a big no no, worse than having no toilet facilities in terms of spreading diesease :open_mouth:

Bloxham rally had a big bust up over catering a few years back; I remember all the burger vans charged the same (very odd for Bloxham) and it turned out one guy bought up all the pitches, fixed the prices high and a lot of visitors were not best pleased. Some of the rally commitee members resigned and the society was renamed…It was also the last time until last year that the Foden Society attended.

Don’t worry. I know a friend who is like you but with FOOD only!. I went to France with him and picking a meal was hard work. It got to the point that i went to a shop and got a sandwich and a drink. He on the other hand went hungry all day because the sandwich he brought didn’t have any butter.

I once bought a sarnie through the fence at Lidl in Livingstone, the van pulled up and instead of making me walk around, the bird in the van delivered my sarnie through the fence :sunglasses:

This was in 95/96, dunno if it was your missus or not

The nearest snack van to where I live is clean and tidy and the lady running it sources the bacon sausages and burgers from the local butcher and rolls-bread from a local bakery.
Excellent food and does a good trade with loads of regulars from all walks of life.
