Some right animals in those pics, still the FL was a tidy fleet vehicle and this one was being driven by a shop steward.

Have got a couple of shots of Silver Roadways. Can I put them on here, as Tate & Lyle owned them ?

I was reminiscing the other day of when i was going down the east Lancs in my dads wagon when we came side by side with a Mickey Mouse Foden in the Famous Colors of Tate and Lyle .Have you any memories of say the old streets of liverpool around the docks ect and i may guess it might have been a cream number to work there . But lets find out.
I remember backloading from Silver Roadways in Lightbody st.with sugar from Tate+Lyle, back in the mid 60s.and watching the old Latils pulling the Raw sugar into the works from the dock road,in bulk trailers.i remember it was always good quick loading, but if it was late, always parked in the security park and not on the usual waste ground, even the 2/6 “protection money” didnt work on certain loads.
