We are doing a bit of research and are wondering if any of you have hidden talents. Perhaps your a pretty mean guitar player, or do a bit of stand up comedy in your local pubs/clubs. Perhaps your a dab hand at trick shots on the pool table or do a passable Elvis impersonation. are there any budding showbiz stars out there driving trucks?

I used to be a pretty mean drummer… now I’m just a mean git.

which brand your kit?

Various certificates as a computer wizzard
and a health and hygiene certificate

So all in all, i can give you music whilst taking orders in a burger van, and running a transport company…Oh i can drive all types of trucks up to class 1, including europe, asia, middle east, scandinavia, eastern bloc…been there done it got the t shirt…think thats enough for one lifetime.

In those days it was Ludwig for bass, hanging tom, floor tom and Premier snare. Zyldjian cymbals and a premier pedal and hi hat stand. Weddings and boozers were usually pretty lively.

I sing with a shanty group called Deck and Focscle, nine strong. Just for the fun of it. Will be starting violin lessons soon, but already mess around on cymbals, a couple of low whistles and some flageolets.
Some people say I play the buffoon, but I was a Maths teacher for thirteen years and so I really don’t know what humour is.

Good voice, decent enough on recorders and tin whistles, learning to play bass. Missus is ■■■■-hot on keyboard/piano and learning clarinet and flute.

I went to the Royal Academy of Music and studied trombone, piano and harpsichord. Also used to play a bit of guitar. Taught and played just about all brass instruments for a good few years. Retired now due to wobbly teeth!

Yeah I’m into photography too, lucky really cos I do have a few shots of my trucks going back to the 1980s. Some nice stuff there Brian.

If you’re a good teacher then I’d say hell yes it is a talent, and arguably one of the most important jobs around.
