Unless there has been a rest period between driving periods then any driving whether on or off road is legally regarded as being done in the same period therefore ending a rest period
Whether VOSA etc would actually look at it in that way under the circumstances is a different matter
I think we’re on the third page of uneccessary complications of what is basically very simple; use card to drive to showground, remove card, do any parade laps etc, end of show simply put card back in and drive away.
We’re getting so ■■■■■■■ in “missing” mileages here. When I park in the yard at the weekend and come back in Monday there is invariably a mileage difference because it’s been working with another driver. It’s not my responsibility to account for these extra miles, and I’m sure that I will never have to.
Treat any movements at the show as such and nothing will ever be said about it.

It is that simple, as long as neither the drivers nor the company have a problem with the shows impacting on the drivers weekly rest period.

Rog it doesn’t matter there is no card in to record agsinst the driver. His wife could of driven around the show with no licence. So long as the company keeps a record just by writing something in a diary to explain a no card movement if required at a later stage if vosa ever downloaded the headunit. Stop putting obstacles in the way when there are non. Its been done like that for years noone has ever been done!!!
