Can anyone tell me if there is a driving ban in Swiss on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd Jan 2009, I have two vehicles leaving Prato friday morning to come back to UK.

A 2 second look in the sticky at the top of this forum, titled Euro Drivers Info Point gave me this.
Truckinfo — Swiss federal roads authority FEDRO from the Swiss Federal Roads Authority.
“Current Situation” is highlighted on the left side menu on that screen.
Immediately below it is a link titled “Driving Bans”, click on it.
You’ll be presented with a calender page for December.
Click the link marked “month>>” to get the January page.
Just below the calender is a disclaimer as to the correctness of their info’. But if the Swiss Federal Roads Authority publishes dodgy info’ on Swiss Federal Roads, what chance does anyone have?
It looks like your drivers are good to go on Friday Saturday.
Brit Pete and I spent a fair bit of time collating the info in that thread, specifically so it was easy to find. Saving you any delay waiting for someone to answer this type of question. It covers as many useful, authoritative sites, for European countries we could find.
