Supporting our poor overworked doctors?

Booked a medical the other day at my local GPs
Was informed that it would cost me 110 quid with no eye test.
Met a mate of mine who told to look at gettingamedical.co.uk on line

Booked it on line for 48 quid including eye test.
Thing that really ■■■■■■ me is that the medical at my GPs was to be done at 4.50 in the afternoon when this “doctor” is supposed to be seeing patients with possibly a far greater need than me,in NHS time and in an NHS facility
With any other “profession” this would be called fiddle but for these pillars of society it ok.

And these people are telling us that they are “protecting” the NHS?
My ■■■.As they say the parasites are overwhelming the bloody host.

Just perhaps you should read the real FACTS before opening your mouth.
My Missus is a Consultant doctor and she totally agrees with the junior doctors strike.
This country will soon be left with so few juniors that seeing a vet might be the only answer …the pay conditions and costs are driving more and more to leave to Oz and NZ or killing themselves due to stress and exhaustion. That prat Jeremy Hunt wants to wreck the NHS to privatise it…and this is how he is doing it. It stinks . Then you will be paying a fortune for Private care like in the USA.

And prey tell where do you get this idea that the “NHS” is so bloody wonderful?
Ah got it The wifes pay check, keeps you in clover no doubt.

If you don’t believe free health care for all is bloody wonderful you are an idiot beyond description, try going to the US where they would want to see insurance/funds before you got anywhere near a doctor. Geriatric care, child birth, health care for idiots who have eaten, drunk themselves to the point they should be dead all for nothing…but yeah it’s really ■■■■ because you had to pay for a medical which you choose to have. :unamused:

Wavering off the original posting just a tad,its surprising how some moan about the cost of Medical being expensive, on average £110 for 5 years = £22 per year = 0.42 per week is hardly bank busting considering a cuppa costs more.

The junior doctors were right to stand up for themselves. Are all the truckers on here such a cliché?

+1
Some of the ones moaning on here about them striking for more money are the same ones who say hgv drivers should let the country grind to a halt by refusing to drive for less than £12 an hour.
The attitude of some people (not just on here) is that they should have just bent over and said “thank you” for being made to do more hours for less pay.

I’m behind the doctors. The government and the media barons spinning the story are scum.
Anyone who puts in 12 years of education after leaving school then more if they specialise deserve a good wage.

They get a good wage when they qualify. Its '‘junior’'for a reason.
They made it clear time and time again it was not about pay. Total lies by them not the media
