Support Iranian Drivers

Just asking you guys still on the road to look out for & help/stand solid with Iranian drivers whilst they are in the UK - or wherever you are.

Going back 50 years or so, the Iranians always came to our assistance wherever we were, be it Europe, Turkey or Iran.

So please guys - be on side with them if you see them - they must feel quite vulnerable ATM and they are just doing their job like us and many are owner-drivers struggling with the difficulties of Donald Trump’s sanctions stopping them getting spares

To be honest if a drivers asks for help or I think they do I’ll ask.

Couldn’t care less what nationality they are. As you say we are all doing same job

Yes, sure I will help them.
I wish their government would give up their nuclear ambitions though, then there wouldn’t be any sanctions…

Hard to find out the stats but more of them coming to us than us going to them these days
At one time lots of Brits use to drive for Iranian & Turkish companies - OHS Transport - OLD TIME LORRIES, COMPANIES AND DRIVERS (INTERACT - Trucknet UK

How would I spot the difference between an Iranian or Iraqi . . they all look the same to me.

Not much difference to us really: Poles raise money to buy new lorry for stranded Iranian - BBC News

In all my years driving I’ve never once knowingly seen an Iranian lorry on UK roads. But if I do, I’ll certainly do all I can to help him.

If I spot an old Mack or Volvo n12 on 24 inch wheels driven by an Arab looking chap in a shiny suit carrying a briefcase il ask if they are ok.

I’ve not seen any in the UK but I do see plenty in Germany. As far as I’m concerned we’re all in the same ■■■■ pile as far as work goes. Help any driver who needs it.

The main difference is the Iranian driver will be looking up towards the sky nervously…

who does need DIGGIN OUT and given a good kickin are whoevers behind the fake news stories in this country. first sign of trouble ,it was "here comes ww3 " now whoever was behind that headline needs to never walk straight again.

Last one I see was trundling down the M1 a few months ago, used to see them all the time in Garanor near Paris.

One wonders what they produce in Iran that needs to be driven all the way to the uk , the costs must be quite high. Would putting it in a container by sea be cheaper.

Raisens, dates, figs lots of fruit, they export thro Turkey, lots gets re-packaged so it can be sold in Europe, due to the export bans the Stoopid Yanks impose.

I thought that would of come from Tunisia and Morocco through Spain, rather than dragging it all the way from there. But I guess if they are knocking it out cheap enough people will buy it.

theyve been taking scandinavian prawns to morocco to get peeled and processed before bringing them back to sell for years which is about 5000 kms or so.
you would think they could peel them locally for the cost of the transport?
