Why with lorrys do people feel the need to plaster all over it in big letters what it is?. Mostly i can tell how many wild horses are pulling it along from the badge on the front or i can see that its a topline or a globetrotter.
just wait for the first 730 over here
Because they are like “Personal Regs” willy extender.
The truck industry runs 20 years behind the car industry.
You use to have cars with the whole alphabet on the bootlid: Mercedes 500 SLK V8 compressor Automatic
Now is it standard to have ■■■■ all on the bootlid to run stealth, But have a Private reg saying B16 TAM or something, am I bothered if Harry is driving that vehicle?
Most of it is D1ck extender
I wouldn’t want to advertise the trucks V8 engine putting out a poxy pathetic 420hp…

Why with internet forums do people feel the need to make useless topics moaning about what other people do to there pride & Joys? Mostly I can tell how many wild posts the user has or wether he is a newbie poster or an old time poster? Heavy user?
Cheers.
Im not having a go at “blinged” up trucks, i like to see a nice turned out motor well looked after, i just dont get why anyone would want to paste what horsepower, cab size or engine configuration on the roof, sides and at the back of the trailor(sometimes). Its not something you do with your car is it?.

Some people do. There are plenty of crap cars about with “Vauxhall” or whatever plastered in big letters up the side. Personally I don’t get it either.
Paul
i did it to use up space !
but then my stickers say 440 Mole Power , because it’s a play on words you see
440 is the trucks rated horsepower ,but because i work for Mole Valley Farmers i took the word Mole & replaced the word Horse , so that it now reads 44 MolePower
see what i did there …
i think it’s great to see drivers take an interest in their trucks , but the question is like why do some truckownwers spens thousands of pounds on artwork it’s all down to personal preference
for some it’s better than a plain white truck that blends into the blandness of everyday life we all lead couped up in our little tin box cabs
Because we all like shiny, precious, pretty things! Private reg’s do shout “Im a Prick” though.
Twin stacks or sidepipes…which is better…theres only 1 way to find out…

maybe some nitro and a ‘picnic table’ spoiler from a hatchback Cossie to keep the drive on the road??
i better stop…gettin silly, but with me its a split decision…it looks good to a point then it can all go wrong
You don’t seem to see “Three Steps to Heaven” as much these days on the side of some doggy old Scania.

The PM has been stood since the 1st of the month, soon to be hired out.
I’m in stealth mode-ish till next month.
It’ll be an AEC mandator, inkeeping with the wisdom handed down to us from the TNUK resident experts regarding all things O/D !
many years ago we had a delivery of carling flat label from burton to our warehouse near malaga.
the truck was on SK plates and was a scania 124L 470, but had huge stickers on both sides saying V8, you know the ones that go from top to bottom including the windows
the driver couldn’t understand why we were all laughing at his truck
then when we pointed out how stupid it looked he said it was a V8 and argued profusely (as well as he could in broken spanish and english) until we made him stick his head under the wheel arch and count the cylinders

Obviously a total amateur if he doesn’t even know that you don’t even have to look at a V8 engine to know it is such, jut listen to the bloody thing!
