No, not the one I wear behind closed doors, but rather the vehicle I saw yesterday; followed an artic bulk tipper with a Moffett on the back. Didn’t pay much attention to the Moffett tbh but I assume it had normal forks rather than a bucket, so can anyone shed any light on why you’d need a forklift attached to a tipper?

Just curious really.
Maybe for loading animal waste from small abatoirs and butchers.

Not 100% sure but I think it may be to load waste paper bales and bales of woodshavings. Seen a few of Jenkys with them on hence my conclusion.

John Pointons from Cheddleton,white Merc?
Didn’t get chance to clock the unit Pete, I caught him just after the hobby horse r/about Newark bound but sat behind him as I was coming off at the Melton turn off.
If it was a bathtub style tipper most likely fallen stock (dead farm animals) if it’s walking floor then usually waste card bales and the like, would be my guess.
On the other outfit issue I think the closed door might be a closet door and your outfit is arseless leather chaps.
Similar subject, the new poundland RDC at Harlow has some skellys with tail lifts. At first I thought it must be for demounts, but it only has twistlocks for a 40 foot box. I’ve never seen it before.
The waste food that gets returned for sending to biomass plants in is big bins (Dolovs) which are moved by pallet truck/forklift. They are emptied into a bulker by lifting above the sides of the trailer then rotating the bins through 180 degrees. Maybe the moffet has rotating forks?

Wincantonski has a few of them running out of Felixstowe.
