Theres too much of the old “not my problem why should i help a foreigner” nowadays IMO.

I’ve not seen that attitude in any of the posts on here, closest was a misdirection for ■■■■■■ which is acceptable

Always help if I can and do get them to follow me sometimes. It can be easier than giving directions some times.

I think the thing is most of us who drive trucks understand how much aggro it can be finding some addresses whether they are abroad or in the UK.

I’ve got much help over the years from people, not just truck drivers, from the old dear who told me to take a back road into a village in Devon as an artic couldn’t get round the corner on the main route to the Italian policeman in Milan who removed a road block so I could turn round at a roundabout and get back on route.

Nowadays its too much to assume a german truck is german driver too.

It most certainly is

I find the folks in the former DDR to be amongst the most helpful.

I had just tipped in a small village near Gotha on Friday and was just plugging my next destination into my prat nav, when a DPD van coming the other way saw this, and immediately stopped and asked if he could help. They see the “West German” plates and fall over themselves to be of assistance.
