Just being honest Mate, what I earn is what I stated nothing to do with my wage packet is bigger than yours I really don’t care how much a,b and c are on, I like my job I don’t get hassled on the phone all the time every now and then my ISO flashes up with some silly job that can’t be done but a quick call to my planner normally sorts that out, most nights I don’t get a call at all (the way I like it) every now and then I get a store delivery but so what it makes a change I used to run for Tesco’s as agency so I know the score it all goes to make your week less monotonous what I love about Stobart’s are the runs; P&G Thurrock to ASDA Grangemouth or Amazom Hemel to Coatbridge never got anything like that at my old firm we seemed to be 99% Tesco hauler and 100% in England.

As I told my driving assessor (Mike) pre-interview this will be the last driving assessment I ever doing because I’m staying with Stobart’s till I retire only 20yrs to go.

I’ve heard about some of the new contracts looks like things are going from strength to strength Buddy

Letters I keep getting arnt saying new contracts ,there saying Exciting new contract wins ,which will present opportunities for esl to operate in new buisness sectors ,really exciting times ,I get up in the morning thinking what exciting challenge will they put before me today   ,then I get there and off to tesco YOU go :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: ,all those drivers with not half the skills I have and they get all the good work :frowning: :frowning: ,I hope you enjoy the next 20 yrs of employment with esl ,but I think for me it’s time to say my farewells ,esl loss ,turners gain :exclamation: .

Got a mate who has been with them for a while, tramps the weekends and is on 40-45k a year, easy money for easy work. I do reckon that those that are first to slate Stobart have either failed their doddle of an assessment or have been fired for being total numpties. Can’t get much easier work for that kind of money on curtainsiders. I wouldn’t want to be on their Tesco contract though, that’s gotta be crap, better go direct for more money, especially down South.
