Stobart Trucks & Trailers mega thread

I used to work in a Co-op, and them cages full of stock are nothing haha, there was girls who worked on shop floor who had no trouble with them.

it’s a complete joke.

I think you’ve answerd your own question there.

Although I must admit I turned over when Timmy was on about his stationary wagon being blown over due to high winds hitting his sheet.

Yet he was happy climbing up and unsheeting though. Why did he sweep that last bit out? If he carries bio waste all day then contamination wouldn’t be an issue. Perhaos like the stress of a dirty cab he’s a bit more enthusiastic than me

i found it really disturbing,to sit all them kids in a hall and tell them one by one if theyd got the job or not ,just for a bit of pr on t,v,they should of had the decency to talk to them privately on there own, explaining why theyd not got on the apprentiship, that lad with the baby, looked nearly in tears, just wanted to get in his car and zb off,and they wanted to interview him for the cameras :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: .
didnt seem to give a zb about the young kids feelings, just intrested in making a bit of t.v drama :unamused: :unamused: :imp: :imp:

Defo. +1

and out off all them kids that bloke would of got the job if i was in charge. Did you hear what the manager said about him “he looks just about old enough to drive a car let alone a lorry”. What about that lad from liverpool, he couldn’t hardly move a cage!!! let alone looking older then 16

Was johnytruckfest in that batch of kids?

afraid he was Wheel Nut, but he didn’t make the grade though

Nope

Not afraid to say I wasn’t WN, In the advert for the apprentices they want they want you to be in good travelling distance from the training depot in Widnes and I’d have a fair bit to go. I’ll stick to picking and packing clothes at Clipper for the time being  Although I doubt many big companies treat their employees the same benefits that we get  Although you could say I do work for the big green firm just not the one people think of :grimacing:

Felt sorry for the lad with the new born baby though, as already said it was bang out of order trying to interview him for a bit of cheap publicity. Then again TV producers don’t give a ■■■■ who they put over as long as they get ratings and money from the programs. On a plus note though I start my driving lessons in two weeks all booked etc

Cheers

The narrator made quite a big thing of New Dad though didnt he, you just knew he was going to fail when they concentrated on him so much!

And to top it all off, the manager thought he looked to young to drive a truck! seen the little fella they took on?

this eddie stobart truck and trailors tv program bashing is all wrong. i,ve had the pleasure of meeting MARK DIXON and to me he was a totally profesional driver. he was a credit to his employer eddie stobart. i think all this jealousy has been put down to that [,it,s not me on the telly, look at that idiot] to MARK and his boss MR STOBART i take my hat off to you both for a very good tv program. don,t worry about the abuse it,s only drivers of less profecionalism than your drivers.

I’d check to see if Browncow2 and Dixons’ IP addresses match   Or perhaps Barry, or Mo (topgun) if he’s woke up yet

why would i be in a room with him. this is my point. instead of admiring his profecionalism all you do is take the ■■■■. i,m sure if you were in a tv program all your fammily would all be sat on the sofa when it,s on.

It’s not just him it’s the whole lot of the tv “stars”; Take the one with the biomass trailer; Worried to 'ck about some dirt in his cab and a few tree roots damaging the trailer floor. Come and sit in my cab when 2 and 3 feet lumps of concrete are dropped into the back…
Compost haulage? Muckshifting for lentil knitters.

Thats because if you bend the fingers in the floor, it stops the walking floor from working, dumbass.

  are you for real■■? Professionalism, you mean chucking a strop and demanding the camera got turned off all because he wanted to be flash and ignore a roundabout to turn around at and then get stuck in the snow because he chose a tricky place to turn around, very professional.

And a bit of dirt in the cab? Christ stop all work and go home. It’s all dramatised ffs I’ve seen biomas wagons loading at recycling centres and I’ve never seen a driver keep poncing up and down the trailer worrying what’s inside. Wasn’t he the one in the previous series who was worried he was 3/4tonne underweight? On an artic? I go out a tonne light on a 26tonner and I sleep soundly at night. And carry tree roots you just make sure their hidden when you go past the weighbridge…along with the plastic, the asbestos, the wood etc…

Yes of course I have, but his wasn’t a mistake, he wanted to turn around but drove straight through a Roundabout and found somewhere tricky to turn around at, then when it wasn’t going according to plan, he threw a strop and demanded they stop filming. Why make hard work out of easy work??
