Stobart ports

Biggegg77:
Thinking of changing my career and getting into hgv driving can anybody advise on average wages conditions etc etc many thanks

Just put hgv wage in the search on here and you find lots. Also about conditions.

The average wage differs from region to region, from company to company, some jobs are salaried and overtime is salaried too.
There are companies paying no overtime only 12p/h for sundays. Others pay 15p/h on saturdays and 17p/h on sundays.
You see it differs on so many facts.

But to ask about hgv wages and conditions > this the wrong thread

Correct regarding additions. Not paid when you are on hols. Also, 30 mins break is deducted per day.

When I worked there, I averaged out all the hours I did including slightly higher rate after 6pm, and after hols and break deductions, the average hourly rate worked out at around £9.50ish an hour.

And regarding holidays, you have to use a days holiday entitlement for Xmas day…even though the company is CLOSED!!

Hi mate did you work on stobart ports and really had to use a days holiday for xmas day[emoji15]

You get 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. Xmas day is a bank holiday so yeah. Although the other bank hols you are required to work if they are on your shift.

£8.35 an hour for days, £9.24 for nights.
£5 a day meal allowance, paid weekly.
Long hours but really easy job. Not every depot but some you keep your own truck.

I saw a picture here on Trucknet UK saying:

Eddie pays 8.52p/h for days and 9.40p/h for night. Also 15 Pound meal allowance per day with 28 days of holiday.

Is there a different pay structures in each Eddie depot■■?

Ports in Widnes retained the O’Connors pay when they were taken over. Think new drivers go onto Stobart structure now.
