Dozy you state you make a good wage etc. But you have a short memory coming on the boards saying you get no sleep, scared every mile that your load will fall off and planner trying to kill you into doing 21 hours a day. Your always stating your just waiting for an interview etc to get away from the green slavery machine.
Also remember one of your family posts that you spend more time at home sleeping on the couch that in the ‘big bed’ and that the job was killing your marriages .

Show me in my post where I state I earn a good wage  I dont ,but it’s implied on this thread / others that If you work for STOBARTS that you live on the bread Line , I dont , mrs doesn’t , and neither does my girl, and as far as I can see neither do the other STOBART drivers I know.

No mention of the 44 drivers at Castlewood primary being transferred over to Buffaload at the same time, nor the affected office workers. However as the transfer to Buffaload is Tauped (or whatever) you have the option of redundancy as the nearest locations at Wigan or Ellington.

I agree with Mr N/Donkey,once Stobarts get it its a race to the bottom.Thumbs up for the lads considering action. But its a done deal.I’d never dress in green like a Christmas elf.plus I couldn’t afford to. Wife’s got bad spending habit,■■■■■

I’m not sure if you think we eat at soup kitchens, buy our clothes at charity shops and wash them in the local stream and live in cardboard boxes :unamused: but we don’t
My mrs loves her new cars , tanning sessions ,hols abroad , London shopping / theatre w/ end breaks with her mates , etc etc , and we seem to be able to pay for this ok on top of my year old car , paid for detached house , football, pub , meals etc , etc .
I’m interested inknowing what this bad spending habit your mrs has  , thought my mrs had most things covered but obviously not.

Yes you can earn a decent wage mate, but the point is how many hours are you having to put in to get that decent/living wage?
There are plenty of other jobs and careers where you only have to work a 37-40 hour week to get the same money.
Yes you may be able to afford to do the things you want, but do you get the time to do them and have the same quality of life?
I’d suggest not…

P.S. Not got a missus, so that’s probably 10k a year I’m saving! :grimacing: Plus I don’t have to kip on the sofa!

Hahahahahaha the van driver now has knowledge of all things great

Don’t forget being put on the naughty step for pulling a sickie lol

Stobart can have them CoOp. Been at Morning on one.No toilet,No Coffee and unloading Bay blocked by a Trailer for 2 Hour

my misses got my credit card nicked last year when we were on holiday in Tunisia…I didn’t bother reporting it to the cops as whoever nicked it was spending less than she was… :unamused:

Can’t do anything about a job when your on the sick,it will take me time to get over the mental / pysical torture I’ve been put through ( shrink and medication are helping )!.

You need to google Doncaster Tesco. Look what happened there. All the regular full time Tesco drivers went on strike, Stobart didn’t give a ■■■■ and used agency. Eventually the full timers either caved in or quit.
Stobart won.

I think tesco won, they were the ones pulling the strings, Eddie Stobart were just a puppet following the customers orders:lol:

Can anybody cast their minds back to when the Tesco drivers at Middlewich were TUPED to Stobart? Long before the Doncaster drivers got TUPED over back in 2007 ish there or there abouts.

If you scratch the surface and look underneath, then the same person responsible for the Middlewich situation might just be responsible for the Coventry situation?

Needless to say, the striking drivers lost.

No the truth is a lot of stobart drivers went through that picket and used the excuse we were threatened , wouldn’t have a job etc , some just were well up for a good old set too, send me there ,I don’t give a zb , let them try and stop me ,
Then you had agency who said they had no choice , if they didn’t do it they wouldn’t have work
I refused , to be honest I couldn’t give a ■■■■ whether it was tesco or a joe blogs picket line , I was never going through it ( dad / uncle fell out over picket line and I’d swore I’d never cross one .
Unlike how people portray stobarts ( and I do at times ) ,no pressure was put on me , I told them I would not cross a picket line and reasons why , no problem ,they accepted it and any time there was a picket line I was put on other work , to be honest I got more hassle off other stobart drivers wanting to know why I was not being sent to donny .
The same applies if there’s picket lines at coop depots ,I won’t be crossing them ,going near them , not that I agree with them , I just won’t be crossing there’s or anyone’s picket line , if others want to let them do it , there choice , my choice not to .
I’m still not convinced they won’t be Tuped over , I know plenty on old contracts ,

All will be good -Stike ,discussion. After Co-op pay for drivers10-15K and all will be happy, same Tesco Doncaster and to many another places .To many people simply can earn good money with redundance.Same when Coop moved from Nottingham to new place that to many people not go to work in new place with just 10 miles distance but prefer redundance money.

Redundancy is not an option that has been offered you either go over to Stobart or seek employment elsewhere

Isn’t that illegal ?

No because you still have a job. It might be a different employer, but the job is still there. Redundancy applies when the job is no longer available.
