During a recent CPC at Stobarts new training academy in Appleton Thorn, this DVSA / strapping issue was discussed, the company’s policy is to strap the rear pallets as the trailer curtains are load bearing but unfortunately it seems somebody at DVSA Preston has a grudge and is targeting ESL vehicles, so long as the rear pallets are strapped them the company will pay any fine issued as they are awaiting the outcome of a test case.
