I remember passing ponton on the a1 one night , passed steadily by a car in the outside lane , then flying up behind it commes a fiesta st with lights flashing for it too get out the way , it did , said fiesta flys off into the distance , and I mean flys off into the distance .
Following day I said too my girl , were you out last night , yea dad popped too colsterworth too see Suzy ( mate ) , what time did you get back , about 11 , so it was you flying up the a1 and flashing you lights at car too get out your way ( I already knew it was her as the revo tuning graphics gave it away ) , apparently he was dawdling .
I was frighten too death when she started too drive but they soon change too like everyone else and terrorise drivers instead of them being terrorised themselves .
N.b she’s just test drove a new focus rs , god help you all and me when the arrives
Try to be the Devils advocate here.
Either she pulled out to quick in front (happens to us all) or she didn’t speed up enough, for the truck to be able to sit a few inches of her rear bumper.
I certainly condone this kind of behaviour, but I certainly understand the annoyance when somebody pulls out on you and than doesn’t speed sufficient up.
Regarding companies reacting of this, from experience I know that you can get several phone calls about your drivers, and mostimes it’s not worth to spend any time on it.
People phone/mail/ text with the most weird and wonderful complains, and as you never have a complete view of the story, what can you do.
To watch all the footage from every vehicle is absolute waste of time.
Got complained in the past of drivers who do 40 in a 60 (when it was the legal limit) and didn’t pull over to let this woman overtake so she was now late at her work, and she was a very important counciller.n
Drivers driving to fast, overtaking grandad on a dual carriage way.
Drivers splashing water up somebodies clothing while driving through the city, you name it and I have seen the complainers.
Take your daughter out for some driving in some volatile environment (Birmingham city on a Saturday will do, especially Sparkbrook / Sparkhil) and she will get immune for it.
As for the driver, he is wrong, but to be fair he didn’t know that the daughter of the greatest drivers ever, ever, ever was pulling out in front of him (15th time to at evening)
He will have to live with a scorch mark on his soul for the rest of his life.
So Robroy, when are we burning your Sobarts PJ’s? Lol
But seriously, it’s never acceptable for us to tailgate and intimidate other drivers, as to do so shows you are not really fit to command an LGV as you don’t have the temprement for the job. Plus it can go badly wrong, ask the maoster! Lol
Rob, was it a green general haulage wagon or a stobart biomass wagon? Different colours and different companies. Phoning Appleton is no good if it was a biomass wagon.
Fair cop guv.
Much ado about nothing. It happens several times a day, people breaking their neck to get out in front of you, only to dawdle along then turn right, forcing you to a halt. I rarely use the horn with theses types because they are stupid enough to brake test you and get themselves hurt.
I’ll just remind you of your snow driving thread where you overtook a line of dawdlers, filling them in with spray and slush, probably putting the fear of god into a few of them, maybe reducing some to tears. Everyone of them was someones daughter (or son).

I aint happy…
Its things like this that are going to see the lorry taking over more and more, i reckon within ten years the brain donor RobRoy’s daughter found won’t be able to use the lorry as a weapon, just as well, not only will it take over (including the steering in a couple of decades) regardless of what the steering wheel attendant does, i reckon it will also send info direct to HQ when it’s had to intervene…that electronic grassing might do some good, if legislation means its also viewable by VOSA or whatever they are called this week then O licences could called into question, so the company will have to sort their crap out.
Good drivers don’t need this cobblers and i personally do not want to see it, but the idiots like the one described (who wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes 30 years ago) are going to see it comes to pass.+
Sadly with the company mentioned, this episode doesn’t surprise me at all, and that’s not a slur on the many good people they have, but the numbers involved (all sort of numbers if you get my drift) plus high profile livery means when an idiot in one of theirs behaves like a plank then it sticks out for all to see.

What if young miss robroy is not being entirely upfront about how events unfolded? Maybe she pulled out in front of him? Maybe she didn’t put her right turn signal on? Perhaps there is a driver out there with dash cam footage of a car pulling out in front of him? We don’t know.
What does annoy me is the tailgating and horn blowing. I often have cars (and wagons) doing ■■■■■■■■■ things right in front of me. I don’t feel the need to blast the horn like a mad man.

Is that an eager beaver?
Dramatic chipmunk.
Don’t be ridiculous. I am a celebrity now, not some weird eyed furry creature.

Your PR department didn’t take long, and you’re younger than I imagined!
More worrying is that you have this.
I would have looked better with my cloth cap on.
When are you gonna give it me back? " Don’t you know who I am? "…
I’m never giving it back, I had it on pre-order for months!

I aint happy, my young daughter passed her test 2 days ago.
She has just came in to me in tears saying she pulled out of a junction to join the bypass at Wigton A596 to turn right again further up.
This Stobart truck was approaching at a distance, she saw him and pulled out in good time leaving him plenty of room. (I have told her about giving trucks room because of braking with heavy loads)
The truck came up right behind her just to make a point, and was right on her back bumper at the point of turning right, so much so she panicked and sped up, turned right and nearly hit the high kerb.
Just for good measure he blasted his horns at her unnerving and panicking her even more.
If he had gone over the top of her I would have willinglly done time for murdering the ■■■■■.I have NEVER been one for reporting or grassing anybody, but I made an exception for this prick, and do not have any qualms about doing so.
I rang Stobart customer sevices the only dept I could get through to, gave the guy the location and time, but told unless I had a fleet or reg no., there was nothing he could do.
I thought they could be retrospectively tracked ffs.Who knows maybe my daughter pulled out too late who knows, but we are meant to be pro.s ffs in our reactions.
If somebody like me gets ■■■■■■ with truckers ■■■■ poor driving, what chance do we have with the general public.
Btw this has nothing to do with my dislike of Stobarts which I have made of secret of on here in the past…but I am [zb] angry.[/how would you feel if your daughter was in lane 1, doin about 40mph, in snow ,when some ■■■■ in a truck flies past in lane 2, covering her, and everyone else in slush, im sure you would not be happy with that trucker ,■■?
oh but wait,![]()

You may take my flat cap, but don’t for one minute think that wearing the head gear of Gods will make you Northern Beezle.
You need an outside loo and a fat missus to be a proper Northerner. I really miss that loo…
