My guess would be that Downtons want the work, not the trucks or drivers.

We’ll see but that’s my guess too. They will probably run the depot down and sell off the land. I bet Kirkpatricks will be sniffing round
So if they take the work, how would TUPE work in this case?
As I understand it, if S Walker have gone into administration then the drivers’ contracts have terminated and Downtons have no obligation to them. That will be why they waited until they went pop before taking them on.

well i was told by my boss that they are back running as normal on monday, and he is in contact with management at walkers as they have been friends for years
Fingers crossed that happens then, wouldn’t like to see drivers losing their jobs.
Pleased to announce that have spoken to a fellow walkers driver this afternoon, and he has been told business as usual monday.

Kirkys haven’t got the money and it’s unlikely they’ll want the land as they own most of Arthur Street! I’m surprised Allelys didn’t get in there sooner; Maurice Allely and Steve Walker are allegedly great mates!
Lightning, is Smiffy still working there? He left Fly By Nite during the summer last year and was threatening to return!
well steve is ex allelys driver.think they would have issues though as 2 businesses operate off the site and there are 2 homes on there,
i think alleys are extending further back at the moment, seen a lot of ground clearing going on
