My window is 0000 to 2 am. Usually start at 0015, but it’s company policy that they can’t alter you by more than one hour either way. Can’t remember the last time I started after 1 am to be honest.

Thats fair enough.
Its just the saturday that sticks out random.
My start times vary wildly. Some days I put my card in a 03:20am, today I started at 07:20am.
I’ll be honest I don’t think I’d make it to work. I started at 7am today and almost died.

Wow 7am? So you worked a full day at half the pay of a night driver and had to put up with at least 50x more numpties on the road than a night driver would encounter?

It felt weird to start that late.
04:36 Tuesday
03:36 Wednesday
13:15 Thursday
16:15 Friday
No tacho needed in the coach I’m driving due to domestic driving hours and that’s just a route learning week
A first in the morning to the last at night week

Err… sometime between 0000-0300 I suppose?
Is your Down’s Syndrome flaring up again?
I’d start at 0530 if I were you.
Is this a trick question? Surely if your start time is 00:00-03:00 you’d expect to be starting some time between midnight and 3am?

Who’s that fella on here? King of the agency drivers? Lord Limper? Condom or summat? Always banging on about how much more he earns than everybody else by doing regular nights on agency?
Then he spills the truth… £10 an hour. [CRYING LAUGHING FACE]
I think the lack of sunlight and vitamin D is affecting some of these guys.

Its a honest question.
I just think that the 1st day should be followed by 0130 then 0200 then 0230 then 0300.
I was told yesterday I was starting at 4am, at interview we agreed 6am or later with the odd exception however I was running back to the yard that night so it would be 9 off at base and I refused which didn’t go down well. I’ve just finished my second week
I was honest though, said I don’t want to let them down by not getting up and doing my shift so I ended up on 3 crap jobs an hour from base that took 6am to 7pm and 3 mins over a 4.5(Friday rules ) to get done. I did say today I could of ran with that load last night and got up close to delivery without a 3am alarm and the job would of still been done. The planners/managers sometimes really are so short sighted and don’t use the drivers to their potential because they’re too wrapped up in them

Well they saved money on a night out. And it’s ok to break the rules because it’s a Friday? Sometimes drivers are too short sighted and wrapped up in themselves.

As already posted, if I was daft enough to take a job with start times between 0000-0300, then I would expect so start work between 0000-0300.

Jesus’s beard. TBF I don’t care about wages. I get £8 an hour for the easiest job I’ve done in my life. It’s even easier than putting up fleshy scaffolding. Afternoons the way I like it. Spend most of my time reading books.
But driving a van, I’d do that.

You night guys are welcome to whatever premiums you get for the hours you work. I did nights for a while, kidded myself I preferred it at first (“the roads are quieter” etc…), but in the end the loneliness and complete lack of a decent social life & time with the missus depressed me (and her) & I took a pay cut to go back into a day job. It certainly didn’t half my wages though.
I’ll take traffic jams over depression thanks!

i don’t think 3-4 minutes over a 4.5 is really breaking the rules ffs I wasn’t gonna sit outside the gate for half hour on a Friday
