Surely it would have been black and blue?

Ermmm! Some people for - many against “Trackers”.Let’s not forget one thing here. “Trackers” and “Tachograph’s” were introduced for one reason only.
To maximise profit.
All this nonsense about your safety and insurance is BS.Thank you.
How does a tacho maximise profit in the negative aspect you have placed it?
I reiterate - "What does a Tachograph record and why??
Spacemonkeypg:
In addition i dont care if people think that the reasons they where installed is to maximise profit, because if they then activated their other brain cell they would work out the company profit = job security. But we live in hope
Ummm! “Company profit = job security”.
If that is the case - Why are so many people being made redundant when companies are making £billions in profit■■?
we have tom tom trackers in our coaches the office staff loved them for the first 6 months then got bored with them now they just fone as they used to to find out where you are.
this one records harsh braking cornering ect so when a drunk on the coach claims my bad driving injured him we just send the insurance company a print out and tell the claimants lawyer " see you in court then "
like a lot of posters say if you have nothing to hide then you got nothing to fear
I reiterate - "What does a Tachograph record and why??
You can reiterate as much as you wish but when no one can comprehend what the hell you are talking about its a fruitless point
If that is the case - Why are so many people being made redundant when companies are making £billions in profit■■?
Name one company which has made £BILLIONS and made everyone redundant

Used to have the tracker in our vehicles, it also monitored how many times the doors were opened.I opened both doors and pressed the little black plastic switch that operates the interior light, as fast as I could for about a minute, then walked round to the passenger side and did the same.
Did that with every motor I was in. Nothing was said but I like to [zb] with their minds in the office.
Do you dribble on the windscreen when you drive?
I actually found this hugely amusing and was chuckling about it during the day. I’d be tempted to climb in and out of the windows to really fog the picture.
Whilst I may not like some of the data being fed back I can see some logic behind most of it, but I fail to see the relevance of knowing how many times the door has been opened. I wonder what potential saving could be had by some of this equipment against the cost of analysing it.
On another note I took my son to the walk in medical centre and had to fill out a stack of details. Name, address DOB, doctor, school, symptoms all relevant. Ethnicity and 1st language what difference does that make to a broken finger? Refused to fill in that bit, can’t see what relevance the colour of his finger is.
And where was that thread about £15ph min wage again?
As for a door related trigger i have never seen or heard of one, apart from in relation to an alarm or stolen vehicle tracker. But if you want to spend all day flashing the lights in your cab because it makes you giggle then i suppose your employer is chuffed he employed someone with such class and drive.
we used to have a lad that had previously worked for daf. most of his work was fitting trackers.
we had 2 lorries with trackers, he swapped them over. so the truck in wales was in scotland, and vice versa.
hence the reason the boss didn’t get anymore fitted.
when you stop for a break, try to have it under a bridge, that works a treat.

OK mate. Off the top of my head - British Gas.
There are many other companies.
BTW I didn’t say - “Made everyone redundant”.

I also thought that was funny thought scousers were supposed to have a sense of humour
I like them for one reason, if i was hijacked driven for a couple of hours, then beaten up and left for dead, I like to think that the Emergency services would find it easier to get aid to me due to the fact that the office has all the info on where the truck had been.
Last years profit report for British Gas IIRC saw a drop in profits on both business and residential.
Unless you are thinking in regards to Centrica and their profits as where widely reported.

Try parking under some 132000 volt power lines…
The only problem I’ve ever had with the system is accidentally kicking the red panic button whilst putting my feet up on the dash (yes, when parked up mind!)

I would also like to know if you left the engine idlingThe FH Im driving at the mo (its a rental unit for some reason) has a thing on it wwhere if your stationary and the engines running for a few minutes it cuts out…
A DAF CF I was stood next to did that while Fueling at Canal, even more worrying as I was talking to the driver at the time. Apparently they do it Automatically.
Funnily enough my Transit occasionally does it too, but I have to ring the office afterwards…
