Yes, a lot of tin pot hauliers are trying the salary route on their ads in a futile attempt to make the job look attractive. The locally renowned Shipley Transport down the motorway from me have gone from advertising £9/hr (for class 1) to £44k per year and even tried to hide who they are by blanking out the company name and putting “CONFIDENTIAL” there instead, but failed to remove the name or postcode from the actual job ad

It’s £9/hr for about 75 hours a week including 5 nights out and weekends. But you get a truck with frilly curtains and a light bar, so I guess that makes it ok.
