I actually knew about this in July last year! The place where I was working (in the office) has the majority of their stock moved by CML and it was let slip in a management meeting with Culina execs about the buy out. Tbh didn’t really believe it at the time as both companies are giants in their own right and it would have been huge news.

It seems they’ve put their wages up. But I don’t know if it is related to Culina or because they are so desperate and realised they can’t attract drivers.

·Monday – Friday Day Tramper - £41,008 per annum
£9.07 per hour for Mon-Fri days.
£11.77 per hour for Mon-Fri tramping.
Those figures aren’t what I’d describe as “not bad”. And why is there nearly a £10k difference in the 2 roles? Have they wrapped up the night out money into the salary figure?
Let’s see the raw hourly rates, not some headline salary figures which being Stobrats will be based on the very maximum legal hours permitted.

At Stobart as well plenty short shift ,just 10-12 h if drivers not taked time so long and depend from unloading.Was working 2 years ago gor trampers at Stobart from agency,most shift was about 10-12 hours,time from time was up to 15.

When I was full time you were maxed out on hours 70 , mates on days were 50 / 55 , so I guess there saying a tramper gets 20 hrs extra pw at x 9.50 ( I’m guessing that rate ) , £190 pw more pw , 52 = nearly 10 k more pa
