Couldn’t believe what I was hearing on the local radio driving home. A transporter carrying vans had hit a bridge & a van was falling from it in Luton 
Don’t understand as the compound it’s delivering to it only up the road it’s heading. See these loaded up with vans all the time.

Is that actually a low bridge or has he had the top deck too high? Mind you looking at the clearance between both decks he couldn’t lower the top deck anymore. trying to think where abouts in Luton is this? Looks like a main ring road to me so I can’t see it being a low bridge.

Don’t know Luton Myself,but the bridge it hit wasnt low surely.With not much info on it,its hard to say,but it looks like driver error.(on a ruddy big scale I mite add).

It’s not marked, there is low bridges all around there but that one is 16’6 at least. The route he was taking was heading back toward the M1 if I remember rightly by looking at the video.

And all the recent reminders from Dieseldoforme including applying handbrakes to opening back doors. Me thinks that if he had issued a check your vehicles height warning this may never have happened.

It looks like he’s taken this approach to the roundabout. It is the ring road through town which comes to that round about with three bridges leading to the middle. Looks like he’d of had more room had he gone more to the middle.
He’s either come off M1 @ J10, headed down into town or I think they may have a compound round back of Motor Bodies (I always see them round here). They usually head in & out of a compound further up along the road he was due to head up so it must be a route they use often.
