pecjam23:
I like the wording

According to the directive, drivers are limited to a maximum of nine hours driving a day followed by at least 11 hours rest.

Is it me or could that be worded better, like "The directive states that drivers are limited to a maximum…etc etc etc. or may be me being picky :exclamation:  :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Whats the answer then Geebee45

May be he looked at the other pages, saw what they had written spat his coffee out and fell off his chair gobsmacked :exclamation: :exclamation: :open_mouth:

Hi pecjam23, what they’ve missed is that what they’re on about is a Regulation.
A Directive is something else entirely. :grimacing:

The ‘thing’ they’re on about is called 561/2006, so by the way it’s written, we know it’s a Regulation.
On the other hand, if it were a Directive, the eurocrats write those the other way around, eg 2009/■■■ would be a Directive. Wouldn’t you think that those who put any type of ‘expert’ info on the Net would either proof-read it or write it correctly in the first place.? :unamused:

And for that fine post Dieseldave wins this unofficial competition…Knew if I waited long enough somebody would get there. Although it looks to be a minor point, it’s actually very important from a legislation point of view. Anyway Dave, congratulations and you have a PM.
