Anyone got that European/UK driving job yet.Volvo XLS and euroliner trailers.away for up to 4 weeks.
there just sending application forms out am told .
seam to think seen it advertised before though
Just back in the country. I’ve rung the number but there’s nobody there now.
Does anybody know anything about the firm/job?
Cheers. Jon
Rang the number,a woman answered to say it was a debt recovery service, and the soveriegn office was in the same building, sounds a bit dodgy to me,a case of look before you leep.
not wanting to throw any alagations about but heard a few storys about them that is enough to put anyone off drivers not been paid after weeks of work etc etc
Buyer beware, may be wise to ask around, and ask drivers on there what they think. There seems to be a lot of firms that dont cough up for drivers expenses, one Austrian firm i worked for called Lindners had trucks dumped all over europe. We had to pay for calls/parking/bridge tolls, and costs of faxing the paperwork,(CMR`s)and re-load and loading instructions. It all mounts up to a lot of cash per week, would invoice HQ to no avail.
Lets say one driver is forking out £50 per week, and the fleet as 600 trucks, thats thousands of profit to the firm. You could lease a new Porsche 911 for that,or HP it.
Does anyone know if this is this the same Kevin Gillin ?

thanks JB, I guess I’ll call his mobile then and see whats on, with this interweb thingy people are getting contracts that change their business in a day, running money in hand might be ok if it’s good.
Meantime I hear from friends running around in Europe that Seafield Logistics (same sort of deal) are worth a call 01909 475561 , website says nothing on though.
seafield.co.uk/recruitment.htm
seafeilds are on there last legs and only run crappy mercedes there about 2mile down the road from me and used to have a lot of dealings with vaughn logistics who previosly went bust .
am mate of mine worked for them from leaving school and spent 7years with them .

I can only agree there mate having worked twice there now, the first time they were only a little bit skint, but now they are MUCH worse. Depots in Worksop closed tanks division a shadow of its former self. Euro division was non-existent last year and distribution fleet completely run down. My advice is STAY AWAY these people are bad news and bad payers.
Thanks psv, obviously not worth a call, sorry guys just what I heard from others.
Well i rang the number advertised at 0910 on monday. The woman who answered told me she`d send an information pack and an application form. Its now friday and still no form or info?
Has anyone else had any joy?
Sounds like a crock of ZB to me,the lady said the manager was in a meeting all day, since when does anyone stay in a room all day,she defo lying, best to stay clear. They have no website to check out.
I know what you mean toby it sounded a bit iffy to me to, but why advertise a job on an official jobcentre website if its not kosher?
I did wonder if theyd had so many applications that she
d got fed up with answering the phone?
They are in one of the truck mags advertising for euro owner drivers.Burgess Hill address, and telehone number, not Mansfield one.
