hi alan,
thank you.yes, she had a 14 litre (non turbo) nhc250 in her.if you could tolerate the noise, she could press on   .the usual fitment was the 9 litre 220hp,bad starters in the cold weather.the 14 lire 250’s were a cracking engine in their day.amazing to think that my mates modern erf, which has a 14 litre ■■■■■■■ is 525hp.doubled the power with the same size engine.
regards andrew

hi all,
gah1950 has kindly rang again and enabled us to have these images of him leaving south cornelly with yet another mega load  .

thanks graham.sorry not to have posted these sooner  ,been busy sorting out photos for a presentation i am doing on south wales steel hauliers,at a hotel in cirencester this weekend at the steel boys christmas party(we always have it in january) .

hello andrew.
thanks for that ,in my opinion it would be a great idea to move christmas to january anyway as it would work out a lot cheaper, lol.
graham.

hi andrew,i had the same type erf as TBO.she was GTH something.she came down from warwick in shrewsbury.she had a 220 ■■■■■■■ in her and i,m pretty sure so did TBO? dai edwards had TBO she had tipping gear on her.sometimes we,d run shotton together and he,d tip both trailers.we,d be carrying coke.i always thought GTH was a nicer wagon as dai was on the scrap and tipper work mostly.i used to run nortwest and midlands mostly.after the old atkinsons she was ok.i thought the ■■■■■■■ 250 came out later.the first one i had was VEP 379T the marathon.GTH had a 4over 4 8 speed gearbox with a crawler gear making it 9 gears and reverse.how wagons have come on though havent they.ive seen me going up the road with a blanket over my legs as the heater didnt work and there were so many draughts.i used to get on to alan jones and he,d call me a big baby while he sat there with 4 bars of his electric fire on.i,m glad those days have long gone.adrian.

hi adrian
how you keeping hurry up and put them pics on i remember when i started shunting for joints my first wagon was ony372l a erf ,andrew would most probaly remember it
