hi andrew
yes wasnt it charles lee working for merc at the time ? anyway took it for a spin up m4 went like â â â â off a stick but it was a shed in the cab must have had about twenty five cab phones the amount of holes that were in dash which put me off . i decided it was nt for me found out later engine blew up about a month later rest is history as m671 kdw arrived regards martyn.
hi mart.
those 480âs didnât like to run hot!g800 was getting warmer and warmer.then spat the dummy out,big time on the beacons one night, with,i think? tony powell.she was rebuilt, though never went the same!not that long after a couple of guys from liverpool became the next owner .

hi mart,
the norman you are thinking of on nights in the quarry is norman gillard.smallcoalâs uncle, norman evans was the night foreman,in the abbey in charge of shunting.the three pointed star is on the front of all mercs.itâs their logo ,it signifies land, sea and air travel.the red background is an alan evans trademark,he put that on every jointâs merc.he drove.
regards andrew
