hi mate, nice to see a pic of mike i was talking to him the other day he is driving for welsh water on tankers, his wife knitted a lovely shawl when my daughter was born
his brother nicky drives for cambrian pet foods i remember them when they pulled for joints lets have some more old faces :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

i think?his daf was ex-stobart’s.i have a photo of it after the barrow’s bought it,still in stobarts colours.

thanks mate,i am fine thank you,have you seen my sister-in law lately :smiley: ?mike and nicky harris did drive for joints and several other firms.to be honest i didn’t know that barrow had 8 wheel tippers,am ashamed to say that i can’t remember them :blush: .can’t help but wonder whom they bought them off,those maggie’s were as you can see welsh registration’s.i do remember cyril barrow with a b series erf though.the 6 wheeler long wheelbase daf was,as i remember double drive? hi komatsu 450,are you sure that is your ec11?sorry ant.but i don’t think it is mate.

sorry to tell you both that it was mine T913GTH or 915 the one my misses drove down to truckfest and i took my B series. Nigel davies bought it off tarmac when i finished and had no luck with it orrrrrrr

Yes, I remember Hutchinsons. East canal wharf off bute street, then took over James Clarks depot in James Street about 1970, then moved to Dumballs road. Trunked from Cardiff to Newcastle every night with AEC Marshalls, and a couple of Mammoth Minor units. Local collection lorries were mainly BMC/Leyland. Finished about ten years ago I think.
