I found an ERF tractor unit today in the livery of Pritchard of Pontypool. I think the reg was something like K 593 SDD. Does anyone know anything about it?

Name doesnt ring a bell… Hendre haulage rings one tho, but not 100% sure, reason i ask is a truck my old man bought brand new , he sold to the said firm years ago, and I’d like to know of its whereabouts ,if it still around that is…was last taxed in 1991 according to dvla, so it may well be scrap, or laid up in a breakers somewhere.

Let me have the details, I will check the register to see if its still around here. :question:

Sorry mate, no trace of this one around here now. Dodge represent less than 1% of makes on the register, perhaps that answers the question?

If it’s the one I’m thinking about, it’s by a wall in the Sogefi filter factory (FRAM Filters) in Llantrisant and i think it is used as a yard shunter?

at least the current controversial stobart tv series is not as dire as the welsh tv programme about this mob!you can’t blame english people for thinking that the welsh live in caves after watching owens’ tv series :smiley:

at least the current controversial stobart tv series is not as dire as the welsh tv programme about this mob!you can’t blame english people for thinking that the welsh live in caves after watching owens’ tv series :smiley:

I remember this unit being put on the road in 2005 just after i started with them for the first time,my mate rolled it on the m5 after swerving to avoid a kid in a car that cut in front of him when the engine seized on the car.Over she went,3 months later back on the road new cab,new paint,never pulled the same way as it did before the bump though,went back in to be looked at a few times but nothing was done about it as usual.The number plate tickles me ,as they bought a batch of fh volvos and only put so many on the road at a time,so CKO is older than she looks,all about image there though,pity the rest of the outfit didnt match up to it…as for the tv series i was there when they were filming in the bridgend depot,when i saw it on telly i nearly died of embarresment…
