This is G. J. William’s vehicle. was sold to Hillcroft Recovery & I believe is still on the road■■?

Was that the basis for their 3 axle underlift? If so I beleive its still going after approx 10 years with them.

There was an earlier ‘welsh connection’ Scania a streamline 4x2 in similar colours, I remember it being run by WT Smith from Newport.

Im pretty sure its thats vehicle mechanic77, used to see it quite regular when they recovered vehicles into us & the old 142 that Glovers(Celtic recovery) had, but don’t see them anymore.
Simon.

The Glover 142 CRS 500Y is now yellow in Walls recovery livery [Walls having taken over Celtic a few years back] I beleive it is currently based at Walls Avonmouth depot, it still works hard and looks good.
Neil.

And this one belongs to the main contributer to this thread Andrew.

I’ll have to have a word with Andrew about that mixture of tyres on the drive axles!! I hope he hasn’t got re-moulds on the steer!!! Excellent shots Dave all the same! Cheers Dennis.

Daibootsy pictured with his ERF,he took a bit of persuading to stand for the pic.

Dave, I think daibootsy was having you on there. He is well into posing with his truck, as can be seen on the Big Lorry Blog.
Both daibootsy and mechanic77 are stars of Ashley’s Loverings festival of transport show in Swansea.
By the way there has been some really good photo’s of the shows, looks as if everyone is having a good time.

Cheers Paul
