G’day Andrew mate,
I’ve doug out a couple of old pics for you mate. I took these in Aug 1995 in N A James’ yard, right down the back allong the old railway line. Are they in Cross Hands?

I thought this might have been a Thornycroft Big Ben,but I’m not so sure, any takers?

I also thought this may have been the cab from their F89 6x4 tractor unit, but looking at it it’s plain to see that it’s a right ■■■■■■ and that it has the early small grill so most probably a 240 '88.
Do you remember either of these two mate?

Nice photos from the show Andrew, thanks for sharing them.
Is this a TK cab on a Km chassis, or just a KM wing? Looks a bit wide to me. She looks nice either way.
As a kid spent many a Saturday with my cousin and grandfather at Abergavenny market, buying and selling sheep and horses. The best part was observing all the livestock trucks and tractors with tralers.

Regards Paul

the n&a james volvo would be XBX 232M OR XTH 106M

Hey fellas,
good to see the NA James F88 stired up some memories, anyone got any pics of when it was on the road?
I have some more pics of old gear down the back of their yard that I’ll stick up in the next couple of days.
Cheers Jamie

Your right there Paul about the size of the wing, almost looks like a KM with the top bumper removed, saying that I seem to remember KMs having twin headlights.

cheers
John.

Cheers Dave.

I reckon this was a KM tipper, restored with an easier available TK ex-army cab. Still looking at the crane which we all seem to think is a Thornycroft. Good to see sixties & seventies stuff again after a little break.

Hi Malcom,
You are right about it being a KM ,because it’s got the hinged flap behind the door above the wing, which the TK didn’t have.I drove both, should have spotted that earlier.
Cheers Dave.

been a bit busy this week and sorry not to have posted much :frowning: .here is a man 150 tonner that we are painting for cross hands based kbhs bulk transport.

These are some pic’s of the sales vehicles from the late 1970’s to 80’s from Telford Trucks.
