No3â â ? who the hells no2 then? Actually,Iâm the one he calls on the special RED PHONE when one of his drivers dares to ask for time off!
Evening.
Great pictures by all - I have a pic somewhere of one of the Old Mans old Layland Bufflos pulling a Powder tank in Malta years ago. Will have to make trip one day.
What happened to the 2 Antars DMD were using in Cardiff on the Ely link road? I think they bought them off Bruce Jenkins.
Heres a pic from 1970 in Hobbs Stormy Down. Its a Guy Reg number XTX988H. Apparently it was one of the first to have an all alloy body by Alususse I think.
I think it was Driven by Randall Clatworthy ( Now he was some kind of nutter) and Alan Griffiths (A.S Griffiths) reveresed back and ripped the door off!

Hi Andrew
There are a lot of old memories this thread is brining back. If it puts a smile on peoples faces its all priceless. The memories of the Turk always made me laugh. I never knew whether the stories were true but they were always entertaining!
Billy ( Dad I always called him ) was one of the hardest working men I have ever seen & also one of the cleverest when it came to a quick fix. I rember the Bogies he made in J&M for carrying concrete that had a marina gearbox on the steering to alter the ratio.
Do you have any idea if I can find out if the N10 is for sale?
Heres a few more - The top one is the old man in the S26 extended cab, The Foden I think is in Cornelly Quarry and Locks Cat 992 pulling a tanker up Sarn Bank in the snow!
LYNXMAN:
This restored tank transporter, has had its Hercules diesel removed and is fitted with a Two Stroke
